Looks like there are 2 versions : The short and the long one.
The short version is missing some extra footage from the Immigrant boat seen at the opening credits.
Not only that,the short version also missing Hector saying "Now the leg" in the Motel scene.It has everything else in that scene,including the violence,but that line from Hector is missing.
Also in the short version we dont see Manny trying to touch the blonde girl that he talks to.We see him talking to her "I like the way you walk" but in the short version the part where she leaves him is missing.

So I was wondering,why there are 2 versions if all the violence is there anyway,including the 200 and something "fucks" that Tony says.

Oh yeah,I just rememberd that in the LONG version there is something missing -the screen text from the Rebenga riot-

Well, I thought I had the long version, I coulda sworn that the text was in my version though. Maybe I got the extra-long version .

If you do not have the screen text of the riot then you have the LONG version.

But then,maybe theres another version...is Hector saying "now the leg" in your version?

Weird...I had an old VHS copy of the movie and some time ago I taped it again for better quality.
Right from the beginning I noticed that theres more footage of the immigrant boat,and then the other stuff in the film.

i have the old VHS one, but it has the text in the begining and has the hector line in it.

I have the DVD version. It has all those extra things in it but I'm not sure about the extra scenes in the Immigrant boat part. I have only ever scene one version of that.

I don't think there are two versions, I think theres just a diference from when you have it on DVD or VHS from when you watch it on TV, because there's no difference on my friends VHS and my DVD.
