Now you've crossed the line. Tupac wasn't a junkie. If Tupac was a junkie, do you think his poetry and literature could be taught along with Shakespeare in high school classes and he could have several colleges, including Harvard, teaching their students him? Not a chance. Just because someone smokes weed doesn't mean they're a junkie. He didn't have 100 pounds on him every second of the day praying to God he didn't run out. rolleyes -Pat

You are hilarious Pat. This has to be the tenth time you showed me that link and it still does not phase me. It just goes to show today's world is going down the tubes.

"The boys in the class all brought in lyrics related either to gangs, sex or marijuana."

Am I the only one who finds that funny?

everytime something is posted about Tupac people start fighting, theres not enough rap fans on the boards to combat the people who hate rap and hate Tupac, why dont we just give it a rest

I'm trying not to insult anyone. However this 4 on 1 is making it difficult.

Angie--I didn't say anything about Shakespeare and Tupac besides the fact that they're both being taught. However, I think it's uncalled for for you to say anything like Shakespeare is better. BUT, since you weren't here during the war, now you know a lot of things can start, which is why we won't be saying which one is better or which one we think is better. -Pat

Pat... It's UNCALLED FOR for Angie to state Shakespeare is better? It's UNCALLED FOR for Angie to state her opinion?

Nirvana is better than TuPac. My opinion. Uh oh, guess that was uncalled for. ohwell

And if you had a good enough argument, "four on one" would be no problem. But since your argument is weak, it's obviously a problem.

See what I mean, Angie? This is the main reason I left the movie boards. Everyone of my damn posts are criticized. This shit is really getting old. DV, you started this whole thing with the 2nd post in this thread if I may remind you.

I entered because me and Lombardi are sick to our stomachs of the rapper/Scarface connection which only exists in the minds of the rapping asses.
The movie boards was something different. Mike was being bitchy to you for whatever reasons. Here is a different story.

Once again, you insulted while stating your opinion. You could've just said, "You 2 were sick to your stomachs of the rap/Scarface connection." No, you had to continue to try and provoke me and call rappers "asses." -Pat

I'm terribly sorry Pat. I insulted your highly intellectual mind. Maybe if I made it in the form of a ryhme stating my opinion with a few verses of weed and hookers I might have sounded better.

Pat, I'm really trying to hold my cool... But how was she INSULTING TUPAC? She said it in the most uninsulting way.

However, I think it's uncalled for for you to say anything like Shakespeare is better.

That was your exact quote. You said it was UNCALLED for that Angie's opinion was Shakespeare is better. "An opinion doesn't need to insult another person." What do you mean? How is Angie saying Shakespeare is better than TuPac "insulting?" She was completely innocent and did nothing wrong. It was NOT uncalled for. You said it was UNCALLED FOR that she had an opinion. I didn't know having and opinion is "uncalled for." That's fucking stoopit.

What I don't understand is why rappers only love this movie. I know that some of them like The Godfather, but why do the glorify Scarface so much? Vito started off with nothing, and look where he got. So why don't the rappers glorify the Godfather as much as Scarface? Or OUATIA?

It's okay if the rappers like Scarface, but it is just out of control. Kids in my classes talk about Scarface, which I assume is because of the rappers. Again, it's okay to like it, but just give the whole "I'm Tony Montana" thing a break! rolleyes
