For disagreeing over a MOVIE I'm a jackass? Those are some hateful words, and lets not say that SB is my sidekick, come on now.

I didn't see SB say anything about Don Andrew....might want to get those eyes checked lol

Anyway, I'm doing this blog for the AV Forums, and I figured that it might be fun to collaborate in our complaining of how unfair and biased the Oscars are.

I mean, certainly all those major nominees aren't my personal picks. If anything, I'm more excited for when FCM has its own awards for 2007...then I'll feel more personal.

Why are you dragging Don Andrew into this, Ronnie? He certainly never said anything here that I would put in a category with one of your statements.

Since I mentioned how antagonistic you are to Irish as well, does this mean I get TWO sidekicks?? That would be REALLY cool.

That sound of motion stuff is sort of creepy...

Why does supporting Scorsese and The Departed makes us into followers of 'those Hollywood types'? Why can't I just think The Departed is Oscar worthy and so is Marty?

Hey, how's it going?

I didn't know I was a moderator that I could ban you.......you seem to take this movie stuff awfully personally.

You can think whatever you like Don Andrew, but can't I feel the same way without being attacked. I never called anyone an asshole or a jackass or told someone to "kiss my ass" but apparently liking Babel is a crime here.

You know, now I know why there were police outside the movie theater in my home town, I guess the Departed fans had to go smack around the Babel fans

I found Babel to be a great movie, and far better than The Departed, but if that goes against this thread maybe I should start my own

I nominate DC to be the Commissioner

Babel was good and I'd say it was better than Flags of Our Fathers but my personal opinion, they're both inferior to The Departed. However, I do also subscribe that United 93 was screwed!

I don't see what you saw in The Departed though, it seemed very basic and easy to figure out what was going to happen.

I thought Babel stood out among them all though, it was better than Flags of our Fathers but it was a different movie as well, so opinions on movie TYPES will also factor in.

Glad you enjoyed it. Personally, I enjoyed See No Evil more (I'm more of a horror fan myself AND it was the first WWE movie and it surprised me how good it was). But I did buy The Marine and there were A LOT of explosions in it as well. I'm looking forward to WWE's third film, The Condemned coming out in April staring Stone Cold Steve Austin

The Condemned reminds me too much of a Van Damn flick though.

See No Evil was good, I thought it was going to be cheesy but Kane pulled it off well, and you actually believed the character. I thought the ending wasn't that good though.

I liked in The Marine where they said about Cena being like the Terminator and the guy who was driving (I forget his name but he was in T2) his eyes rolled, that was great lol Although I could have gone without seeing him jump out of what, 4 exploding buildings?

I didn't see the big "thing" with it after the first viewing (plus I had already seen Infernal Affairs so I knew what the movie was about and how it ended). However, after a second viewing and a possible third shortly (I'm in the mood to watch it, ESPECIALLY if Marty wins tonight), it's grown on me. And yes, movie types does play into it too I think

I agree, I thought Kane did a very good job. I don't really remember the ending (it's been a while since I've seen it), but again, it really surprised me how good it was because I thought it'd be cheesy too. And yes, the Terminator joke in The Marine was great. I always think of Robert Patrick as the T1000
