I think that Vincent should not go very far; I think that he must be murdered or arrested before Michael dies to emphasize more the misfortune of Michael's destiny. So he would have seen the destruction of " his two families ". When Mike dies (1997) in Godfather III in Sicily I imagine him like a unfortunate man, which has lost his family( Vincent is dead or in prision for example) and he could not have avoided the fall of the Cosa Nostra. Besides, the history would be more realistic because the Corleone family only has had 2 bosses in 60 years, it isn´t very real.

I don't know, I kind of liked Vincent. I wouldn't mind seeing him as the current Don in modern times.

I know what would be interesting for GFIV, a power struggle for control of the family between Vincent and Sonny's other son (or sons)!

"Life is so beautiful."

"Even the King of Italy didn't dare to meddle with the relationship of a husband and wife."

So a struggle for control - Between Vincent and his brothers Frank and Santino "Chip" Corleone. not bad idea.

I think Vincent takes michael's teachings - and keeps the corleone family strong for the next 35 years. he goes to war with the russians, the asians, and the other families through out his years as don. (Vincent "Vincenzo Corleone" Mancini: DON 1980-??)

THE CORLEONE FAMILY 1980-?

Vincent “Vincenzo Corleone” Mancini: (32yrs) New York Don of the Corleone Family 1980-?

Frank Corleone: (40) Caporegime: head of security for Family Interests, other security details as needed

Santino Corleone (35) Soldato under his brother Frank

Victor Rizzi: (31) ?
Michael Francis Rizzi: (25) ?

Frank Hagen: (40) Consigliore and family lawyer

Dominic Corleone: 4 years old – 1st born son of Vincent

Santino Corleone: 1years old – 2nd born son of Vincent

??Salvatore Pentageli (no Brasi): 4years old –grandson of Frank (Franki Five angels) Pentageli - parents murdered by unknown assailants – Vincent takes the boy in. (stood as Godfather)??

Mario Clemenza: (35) Caporegime: grandson to Pete Clemenza

Paolo Clemenza: (31) Soldato under his brother Mario, grandson to Pete Clemenza

Tommy Neri: (?) Caporegime: and nephew of Al Neri (have nt read godfather returns yet - so not sure if he is alive or not)

I think the fact that all the bosses must have the same last name is A bit un-realistic.

I agree, Luciano Fannuci - It is unrealistic for every Boss of the Corleone Family in the Family's history to be called Corleone. The five Families in New York in real life don't only allow Genoveses, Gambinos, Bonannos, Colombos or Lucheses to become Bosses of their Families, so I would like to see a Boss of the Corleone Family who is not called Corleone, in The Godfather Part IV, if it is ever created.

Yeah, perhaps A close family friend of the Corleone`s, Al Neri? Also, Clemenza or Tessio would of made good Dons, but we all know what happened to them.

I don't think Fat Clemenza would have made a good Boss. He was loyal, powerful and had alot of respect from his people, but he simply wasn't smart enough to be Boss. I think Sal Tessio would have made a good Boss. He wasn't very loyal, which is proven in The Godfather, but he was powerful and he had alot of respect from his people, plus he was smart enough to be Boss.

In my opinion, "street smarts" simply aren't enough to be Boss of one of the five most powerful Families in New York and the entire United States of America.

instead of being the illegitmate son - he could have been frank or santino jr or even the traitorous carlo rizzi's sons victor or micheal francis - i think victor would be a traitor like his father and michael francis - could be Don Michael Francis Rizzi-Corleone.

ages in 1980 when Vincent Corleone took over. ages in 1980 when Vincent Corleone took over.

(my dvd says vincent born in 1948 not 47 after fathers death.)

Frank Corleone: (40)
Santino Corleone: (35)
Victor Rizzi: (31)

I dont think Tessio or Clemenza where worth of becoming Don. Infact, I think the only guy who would be sutible for the position would be Al Neri. He was smart, but knew when and when not to pull the trigger.

If there is a "middle" story, to make it more interesting, we can have Anthony into the picture, wanting to protect his family dynasty after Vincent fails a deal. I don't know how it's going to happen, but Anthony is a lot like young Michael and he might just pull a trigger.

He also became a trusted ( highly trusted ) enforcer for Mike and reported only to Mike after being a cop.

I think that a Part IV would have to take a hard line showing Vincent saving the family or ultimately destroying it by inexperience or a crucial mistake.

I personally would rather see him restore the family to power by doing a deal on his own while Michael exiles himself in Sicily.

I don't like the idea of any of Sonny's other children involved in a power struggle since they have likely been sheltered from the mafia life since Sonny's death.

I also like bringing Anthony back into the mix and ultimately have him become a part of the family as well. If there is to be a power struggle, I think it would have to be between the two of them, since Anthony is sure to partly blame Vincent for Mary's death.
