First off, this is my first post, so don't grill me to bad if you disagree.

Instead of showing Sonny's upcoming in the family (which would happen anyway, but... ) Why not show
The Five Family war of 1933? As well as showing Vincent keep the family just above water.
I am also a firm believer that the Godfather's main charecter is never completely Micheal.

Micheal is not the main character untill he suggests the murder on Sollozzo and Mc' Cluskey.

And in the other two movies; he is clearly so as well.

Why focus on the war? Why make it another shoot them up Mafia film? Instead of focusing on Sonny?

Though I agree, we don't need another shoot'em up Mafia movie. Showing the war would show Sonny "make his bones" and show him doing other things to help his father during that time.
What I meant to say was GF IV wouldn't need Micheal to be a good movie.

I think that was probably the idea. Any storyline which included never before told stories about Sonny would almost certainly have to include the FF war.

they should just make it like the godfather part II, except instead of micheal and vito, its vincent and santino.

One Problem.

Vincvent and Santino would be imposible. SOme one would need to play Sonny and Sonny had no role in the family as far as being a don.

Vito appeared in Part 2 after being killed in Part 1. It would have to be a diffrent actor playing a young Mike,Sonny,Fredo,Vito,Tom,the original Corleones. Pacino cant realistically be in it.

im saying like they could have micheal telling stories of the old days to vincent and then they would have flashbacks to that time. It would nbe kinda interesting.

What they we're trying to do was show two generations of the Corleone empire, in it's growing stages and it's point of decompostiton and it's fall, and the contrasts between Don's.

So if IV does take place in two places at two times, it should be Michael in the 70s, recovering from his daughters death and eventually getting wound back up in crime, and then have 1997 (after michaels death)showing Vinchenzo getting the family back up top, in america. Maybe he could even try to make michael's dreams of the family buisness becoming legit. a reality.

"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."
