Why didn't ENZO get caught by McClusky and his gang at the hospital? Was he a former track star?

If I am not mistaken he was born in 1892. Not sure but I remember Vito's mother getting killed by Don Cicio's dogs after the funeral of his elder brother in 1901 when he was 9.

"I got my own family" was a reference to his brother being in the hands of the Corleones.

I remember John Gotti was once asked if he was the boss of his family and he said "Yeah, I'm the boss of my family, my wife and kids at home."

after Sonny was killed, the Don came into his office where Tom was. He said "his wife was crying" but then Tom told Vito he hadn't said anything to her yet. Then why was she crying?? confused

Time to to go to another Analyst. Let us analze this some. Do you think Sonny getting killed could be he reason?
Maybe she overheard or someone other the Tom may have told her?

Well, I've got to break my vow and respond to this question.

Just because Tom himself hadn't "...said anything to mama...", doesn't mean she didn't hear the news of Santino's death from someone else. With Sonny gone, Tom was in the position as temporary head of the house. It probably fell on his shoulders alone to break it to the still recovering Vito and all other family members, including Mrs. Corleone, stayed out of his room until The Don himself came downstairs to find out what was going on.

It would have been Tom's responsibility as consigliere to inform Vito and Mama. Who else could have told her? Crying for Michael maybe? (since he was in hiding). He went to college, went to war, so probably not. Mama always seemed to understand "this is the business we've chosen!"
