The book begins by telling you just how Donnie Brasco worked his way up to getting in with Lefty. Then it goes into many details regarding his dealings with Lefty. Put it this way, I am a little more than halfway through the book and it is just introducing Sonny Black! A great read so far.

I read Gangster when it first came out. A truely enjoyable book! I want to read Cacaterra's new book, which I think is titled " New York Paradise." About a young boy whos family falls victim to the mob, and this young boy grows up to become a policeman and some how tracks the mobster to New York. Anyone know of this book or read it yet?

Don Cardi [/b][/quote]I couldn't agree more, I've read it twice so far and if it wasn't for other books to be read I'd read it again. For years I've billed it as the best mafia book. It's such a fast read.

I'm reading Comrade Criminal and about nine books for school.

I just got Donnie Brasco in the mail and I'm looking forward to reading it.

"The Magus" by John Fowles. Nothing to do with the Mafia, of course, but none the worse for that! Tremendous read.

The next Mafia book I will read will be "Cosa Nostra."

I'm currently a third of the way through "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown. Unusual style, but pretty good so far.

I'm also re-reading "Wiseguys" and "The Godfather Legacy"

I'm now reading "The Davinci Code" by Dan Brown and "Bright Lights, Baked Ziti - The Sopranos" by David Bishop.

I'm going to be trying to track down a copy of "The Godfather Returns" later today.

I am reading the GFI agian went out and bought my self a new copy.

I'm reading "John Dillinger" by Dary Matera, a pretty decent bio of the famous bank robber.

It's called Paradise City from memory. I love working in a book store, I can order things in for myself left right and center as soon as I see them. It's due to arrive in Australia at the end of the month, and I'm dying to read it, I've loved everything by Carcaterra. His biographies and fiction works were brilliant.
Right now I'm reading Gone With The Wind, but I have only a chapter left, so I'll start The Godfather Returns tomorrow.

Besides the mob, I'm also a Star Wars buff. I try to alternate between SW and Mob books. So now I'm reading "Star Wars Medstar II: Jedi Healer". (I know, call me geek, I'm used to it) I'm close to finishing it, chances are I'll finish it on the train this evening. So, the next book will be...

I´m reading pattern recognition by william gibson and neuromancer (2 time) by william gibson too , I guess in the deep I´m pretty nerd

Trying to finish The Godfather Returns for a 2nd time. The first time I read it, I thought it was good, and worthy of a second read. But my second go-through, I've picked up on some of the mistakes and complaints that have been mentioned on the other board.
