Did Mario ever speak of Luca? What most interests me is why Luca had his own child killed. I know there was some speculative effort by the old lady Filomena on the reasons, but did Mario have something else in mind that he had that baby killed?

I am searching my memory about this, and I do remember Mario saying that everyone made a big fuss over the "Horse's head" but he never heard a word about the baby that was tossed into the furnace...which was to show the true menace that human beings were capable of....
