If you were to put in a list of 1 to 5 of your favorite Puzo books what order would it be in.

M4M - Why does almost every post of yours include the "thumbs down" icon? Do you hate everything??

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

1] The Godfather
2] The Sicilian
3] The Last Don
4] Omerta
Those were all the books I've read of Puzo. But everything that's been hinted by SC and JG about The Family makes it sound very good.

"..Your youngest and strongest will fall by the sword.."

"...now you gotta speak more than one language to pull a heist..." Pudge Nichols

"...Never shall innocent blood be shed; yet the blood of the wicked shall flow like a river. The THREE shall spread their blackened wings and be the vengeaful striking hammer of God..."

I go along with Ricardo, with the exception of moving Fourth K up to just after the Last Don. I am always intrigued by a story that involves the Kennedys as well as any that involve the mafia.

By the way, does anyone remember how many times the word "mafia" is used in the book. The Italian anti-defamation folks really pressured them to remove those references in the movies.

How was Maranzano in the early twenties did you ever meet Capone? Was Gf2 early years like you remembered it? Were the 40's and 50's as you remmeber it? So your older than Mike Corleone? Did your daughter marry your nephew?
