I bought the movie back, um 6 months or so ago, it wasn't good. The story line was good but they just couldn't cast many good actors except for Joe Mantegna, who I thought played a good role.

Anyway, I don't like how it's all about pretty, young faces. That takes the realism off and some of the young actors don't know what they're doing.

Another thing I noticed, and no disrespect to Puzo who I find as a modern day Dante, is that Mario is old school when it comes to writing about the mob -- when it's the family, it really is the family -- and that ruined Last Don for me at least.

I didn't like the movie either. Yea, I agree that everyone was just to pretty in that movie- no roughness, no edginess at all.

I saw the sequel but never saw the first. I quite enjoyed it. I've heard the novel is good though.

I've seen the movie two weeks ago. I thought it wasn't to bad.

Ok, the cast was less then the cast of the godfather but the story was ok. It never bored me.

Contrary to popular belief, Unix is userfriendly. It just happens to be selective about who it makes friends with.
