https://www.journaldemontreal.com/2...-kilos-de-cocaine-saisis-chez-un-mafieuxMore than $2 million and several dozen kilos of cocaine seized from a mafia boss Several dozen kilos of cocaine and more than $2 million in cash were reportedly seized Tuesday morning in Montreal from one of the long-time collaborators of an influential mafia boss. The police arrived in the morning at the home of Giuseppe Arcoraci, a stone's throw from Cavelier-De LaSalle secondary school, in the district of the same name. Inside, the police got their hands on a huge sum of money, an impressive quantity of cocaine, as well as around ten prohibited weapons. According to our sources, more than 2 million dollars were found, as well as “several dozen” kilos of cocaine. Arcoraci, 58, was not arrested. This would be a search during an investigation as part of the Americano project, carried out by the Antigang section of the SPVM. A first phase of this investigation project had already taken place a few weeks ago and had led to the seizure of large quantities of narcotics. Arcoraci would not only work with the Italian mafia; authorities also suspect him of having links to Irish organized crime. Moreover, Arcoraci lived for a long time near the residence of one of the Matticks brothers. Although he would occupy an important role in the Montreal organized crime scene, Arcorcari would be a man who stands out for his great discretion. The police nevertheless consider him a close collaborator of Pietro D'Adamo, one of the strong men of the Italian mafia in Montreal who is still the subject of a police investigation in the wake of the revelations of the hitman Frédérick Silva. The latter is said to have committed or ordered around sixty murders for different factions of the underworld over a period of more than two decades, before turning around and collaborating with the authorities from the summer of 2022.

Murder of Arsène Mompoint The sponsors would be important members of organized crime Influential members of the mafia and organized crime in Montreal are said to be the sponsors of the murder of gang leader Arsène Mompoint, shot dead in broad daylight, while he was sitting at a table with several people, in a cannabis store in Kanesatake, on 1 July 1, 2021. These individuals are Vito Salvaggio, Pietro D'Adamo and Davide Barberio, considered by the police as important players in the mafia, as well as Jean-Philippe Célestin, Emmanuel Zéphir and Dany Sprinces Cadet, from the gangs. A seventh individual, Gregory Woolley, was also targeted by the investigation, but he was murdered last November. In December, the residences of these seven individuals were searched. https://www.lapresse.ca/actualites/...membres-importants-du-crime-organise.php
