Phoenix def looks he would do such a legendary important historic figure justice. A good film about Napoleon had to be made glad Ridley did it.

Watching Robert De Niro Hiding in the Spotlight.
Nice documentary Bobby and Marty knew each other since they were 16

Trailer looks good at least it doesn't make fun of the "Gabber" scene of the 90s. This sub culture was unique haha..

Yes it was a typical youth/street subculture around the raves. Big in Holland but also spread to some other countries.
I'm a big fan of Jim Taihuttu the director, his prior films Rabat, Wolf and De Oost are well made movies.
I can imagine Hollywood is watching him !

Finally, after putting it off for a year or more, finally revisiting the HBO series OZ. Best show pre-THE SOPRANOS IMO.

LOOKING FOR MR. GOODBAR (1977)

I had never even heard of this movie before until recently for the fact it's difficult to obtain on DVD and Blu-Ray for some reason? I watched the trailer and it didn't do much for me but I still decided to give it a shot. A young Diane Keaton plays school teacher Theresa Dunn, who teaches deaf children. The film has many themes including traditional vs contemporary values, of which she's constantly at odds with her father about; women's liberation, the sexual revolution, amongst others. Keaton delivers an empowering performance here as Theresa, a strong and independent woman, who doesn't need a man to feel whole, way before it was considered to be in vogue. I'm surprised and disappointed she didn't earn an Academy nomination for her work on this. Working as a deaf school teacher she obviously signs to the students but it's apparent to the audience how much time Keaton put into the practice as she does it with such speed, she almost seems like a natural. I won't spoil the ending for those who haven't watched it but the film ends on a down note, which makes it all the more tragic being that it's based on true events. If you're able to catch this and never have, or have seen it but wish to rewatch it, track it down as I was pleasantly surprised by it! 7.5/10

PS-There's an awesome Easter egg in the film relating to Keaton being in THE GODFATHER.
PSS-The film also features very young versions of actors Richard Gere, Brian Dennehy, and Tom Berenger.

Happy you liked it. It's one of my favorite movies from that era. The late '70s is also one of my favorite eras in cinema. I don't think Keaton ever looked sexier

Wolverine is another favorite of mine.

Hugh Jackman trains hard for role of Wolverine: 'No days off'
Edited: 6 mins ago9 mins agoin FILM
Hugh Jackman has had to train a lot again to be physically ready for his role as Wolverine in the third Deadpool film. This is evident from images that the 55-year-old actor has posted on Instagram.

“No days off,” he writes in the video, in which he lifts weights with both arms. “Except tomorrow.” He concludes with the hashtag #becomingwolverineagain. The Australian takes on the role of his famous X-Men character one more time for the film about superhero Deadpool . The film will be in cinemas from the end of July.

Jackman has appeared many times as Wolverine, playing the role in ten films between 2000 and 2018. Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool for the third time, announced last year that Jackman had been persuaded to hit the gym again, even though he had actually said goodbye to his character.

New spin-off of 'Game of Thrones' will be released next year
\
Good news for 'Game of Thrones' fans. A new spin-off of the fantasy series will be released at the end of next year, after 'House of the dragon'. Writer George RR Martin himself contributes to 'A knight of the seven kingdoms: the hedge knight'.
The fact that the series was coming was already announced several years ago. HBO, the mother house of Game of Thrones , is working behind the scenes on eight spin-offs of the fantasy series. Previously there was House of the Dragon , this will be the next one. George RR Martin, the author of the original books, is heavily involved in the writing process.

He got his inspiration from his own book series Tales of Dunk and Egg , which takes place before the events of Game of Thrones . Filming will start in June, actors have not yet been announced.

The series will be shown on the HBO Max streaming service. CEO David Zaslav announced this on Friday.

I never read the novel or watched the original series, but wow I'm impressed by the first two episodes, this and Tokyo Vice are now favorites of mine, I don't mind subtitles the Japanese scenes are the best.

100%!

This show has a lot of depth. I love the era and I love Japan. It's such an interesting country with such a wonderful history. I particularly love the fact that it's one of the most peaceful countries on the globe, and less than 2% is Christian
