What legit businesses past and present have mob ties?

Currently, I'd say Construction, Garbage, the docks, the restaurant and club industry, Garment.

Vending machine used to be mobbed up, I don't know if it's still the case.

Nightclubs for sure, especially strip clubs, they and the Mafia are like two peas in a pod.

The Casalesi clan controlled and extorted from Cirio and Calisto Tanzi's Parmalat, these companies had grown in multinational corporations.

Seems li ke from the 1930s through the 1950s,afterv Prohibition a lot of mob connected guys went one of two ways,sometimes both,espcially if there were enough brothers to be in both avenues
One way was with the Gambling. Not just bookmaking but places where they had wide open gambling
The other ways was to own bars,nightclubs,strip joints,restaurants,prostitution,and for some reason a lot of them owned hotels around here,
And in those day corruption with police and politicians was rampant
