Welp, I finally cut the cord (Xfinity) and switched to Hulu + Live. We'll see how this goes :fingers crossed:

Good for you, you will thrive and get used to any service.

I hate the cable companies.

I have a streaming device that get a lot but not enough to fill my wife’s needs of watching TV, so we still have cable.
I could survive on internet service only with my streamer,

I'm paying about $60 less per month with Hulu + Live. Also, I barely watch TV anymore. A few shows here and there that I record so I figured, why not try it out? I'm more of a movie person anyway.

That is a great feeling…. I need more of that but have to suffer though injury often and scale back on my practice sometimes.
It’s usually hand injuries , they hurt when used aggressively .

I've never tried meditation Gia but have been curious enough to try it. Do you have any resources or videos you could recommend for someone who's never done it before and was curious about trying it out?

I have practiced mediation and breath work during the lockdown of Covid.

Try a few vids on YouTube for Alternate Nostril Breathing and other breath work exercises, these are great tools for settling into and out of a meditation practice.

When I started a Yoga practice the breathwork and meditation was also taught.

Ive done this one and others.

My yoga instructor does something similar to this and the vid you may find on Box breathing.
Lalapatae breathing or fire breathing is also very good.

went out with some friends
had a huge debate over something with some girl in the group and then with another men.
it's became clearer each and everyday that you cannot be friend with someone who have different opinions and different world view then you. just can't.

Sorry to hear that Meyer. I actually have friends all over the political or world view spectrum. In fact, I disagree with most of my friends politically, but I am one of those moderates who is able to get along with just about everyone. I don't mind political differences. The only problem I have is when people are factually wrong

How are you and the family G?
When I grew up we always had big birthday parties at my grandparents home or at other relatives and after enough alcohol my dad uncles grandfather always got into huge arguments about politics. I miss those days lol. .

Everyone is good. Everyone is healthy. Thank you for asking H!

Yeah, I never understood those explosive fights some families would have over politics. That was a very rare occurrence in my family. My dad would sometimes get into it with his old man, but that was mostly when he was very young and long before I was born. Growing up I didn't see many people have these heated debates. There were debates and people would raise their voice on occasion, but there really was a grand shift about 8 years ago. Now we are seeing people refusing to associate with anyone who doesn't agree with them or refusing to even entertain a friendship with someone who sees things a tiny bit differently. I always say the same thing: If you possess the ability to harbor affection for someone who holds contrasting views, I can be friends with you. It's as simple as that.

Remembering when no one gave a shit about politics and people just did what they had to do.

These fucked up politicians created this horrible situation, they rip us all off, take advantage of our over collected taxes and now they want to completely control the people, the craziest part about it all is we let them do it.

Hey Irish is BACK !

Listening to Dutch 'folk' music a bit of a mix of German Schlagers and Italian Neomelodic music but with Dutch lyrics. Very popular genre many local singers.
