Maybe a ZOOM meeting. We don't even know if the commission still functions.

I can imagine a meeting with the Bosses or representatives of the 5 families, New Jersey, Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia.
It wouldn't be so hard to set up. And useless,no common rackets. The Patriarcas have ties with Gambinos and Genoveses same thing for philly the Lucchese have power in NJ and first of all Detroit is too far and no serious money to make in a city made of 90% blacks. The Joe Profaci, and later, Joe Colombo Family actually represented New England's Ray Patriarca Family on the Commission for many years.

Never happen. Law enforcement watches all these guys the way trhe Secret Service watches the President. Guaranteed RICO convictions if two of them met for coffee in a diner. Exactly Turnbull!...NEVER gonna happen. NO way! NO how! The mob isn't even that cohesive nowadays. And you also need to remember WHY the various bosses would periodically meet up in the first place. Don't lose sight of that. It was because of their mutual racket interests that overlapped, that they needed to coordinate with one another. Examples; International liquor smuggling and wholesale distribution throughout various borders and states (during Prohibition); international narcotics traffic that they smuggled over the borders and coordinated through various territories controlled by fellow bosses; the 1940s-1950s nationwide expansion of the jukebox and coin-machine business that had exploded in popularity; horse-race results "wire services" that ran from California to New York (and nearly every state in-between) to help bookmaking operations; interstate truck and cargo hijacking; the national Teamsters, Longshoremen's, Laborers, and Restaurant & Bartenders Unions (to name but a few) that required the cooperation of fellow "Families;" Etc., etc., etc. Today? There are no such operations happening. Certainly not on the grand scale as in years before. So tell me, why the hell would any of them (even if they could, which they can't) want, of even need, to meet one another? There is NO such cooperation today! And with the sophisticated law enforcement technologies available to the FBI and other government agencies, there is NO way the remaining families (many of whom are already on a respirator) could pull it off without LE scrutiny, even if they wanted to! And thats a well-worn fact! Despite the false narratives that some people on these forums would like to advance.

I don't think all the bosses will ever meet at once again, but I can still see different bosses from different cities meeting at different locations across the country. Appalachian was so stupid, absolutely no reason for them to all take off running like that. Made zero sense. You need to understand Liggio, that that was a different time, a different era. "Commission Meetings" were regularly held to discuss business or pending problems, These were conducted for many many years, many decades in fact, without incident. Every five years or so, they also held a "national" get-together to rub elbows. With the massive control they held over local police departments and politicians at the time, it was not a problem...UNTIL that fateful day, November 14, 1957 that a local yokel, NYS Trooper Edger Croswell, got ambitious. Hence the "Apalachin Raid." That was a game changer for the mob! Literally, a watershed moment in their storied history.

Not today with camera's everywhere makes no sense.
Why take the risk?
Not on a national level what for?
I do not think it would happen with the N.Y. families.
Never! Ever! Gonna Happen!.....EVER! The mob is a mere fraction of the size they once were, and so are the "rackets" they still operate. And each crew is pretty much "compartmentalized" to themselves. So I just don't get it? What's the point to meet up, even if they had the need to (which they don't)?? And as you said BH, they'd be discovered in a heartbeat, which would only draw another Federal investigation. Lol
