Depending upon their personal involvement in this particular case, their prior criminal history, and how badly the feds actually want them based upon their status or perceived "positions" in OC, each of these defendants should get anywhere from simple probation and a fine, to maybe three-six months, a year-to-eighteen months, or possibly three, four, or tops - five years in the can. But that would be on the higher side of things. Because at the end of the day, despite any government posturing to the contrary, there was no actual violence in this case. Only alleged threats. Essentially it's a glorified gambling case.

But if law enforcement is gonna start investigations and arrest anyone (which you damn well know they always do) then it should NOT be for "non-violent" "victimless" type crimes (which technically shouldn't even be a crime anymore since gambling is legal in almost every state of the union!). In Gangland Capeci turned it into another Cookie D'Urso praise-fest. He let him use it as a forum to attack Polito (Again) while saying how great he, the rat, was. There was more about how cool of a guy D'Urso was than on the gambling raid. Capeci seems to love Michael D'Urso so much, why I have no idea.

A while back there was a Gangland story of D'Urso beating up Larry Mazza, and "Standing over him like a bull, daring him to take a free shot" I pictured D'Urso as a bull-like fearsome type. That image is gone, because Capeci made the error of including a photo of him in todays column, D'Usro looks like Pee Wee Herman's weaker brother. I am wondering too. They started this was over 3 years ago. That surprised me. They first interviewed the cop on it in January of 2020. The comment of "Ill stick him under a bridge" was recored or reported in 2019. So they spent at least 3 years to arrest 8 men for having poker games in clubs. For it to take so long, they either have tons of evidence or they just decided to indict everyone and hope for a rat to pop up. The cop in the case faces the most serious charge. he not only denied it, he was smiling as he came out of court,

It's interesting to me that the feds took so many years to take down and indict these guys for what essentially amounted to a glorified gambling case, card games and joker-poker slot machines no less.

IMO they were waiting, and hoping, that bigger fish and heavier criminal acts would fall into their net. Which obviously didn't happen.

Still, considering the "lack" of major organized crime prosecutions over the last decade or so, the government must feel somewhat satisfied that they were able to arrest several reputedly key guys from two families.

I mentioned it earlier, 3 years. They spoke to the cop in the case in January of 2020, and had started the investigation in 2019 or earlier. They came up with a big nothing. They wasted time and taxpayer money, so now they have to act as if they accomplished something.
