The final season of BCS has been very good so far. Love the b&w episodes. I almost cried when Walt and Jesse appeared lol. Jesse has aged lol

But you had to play it cool, had to do it your way
Had to be a fool, had to throw it all away

I can't either. It's almost surreal. The BB world has been going strong for 15 years. That's a massive part of our lives.

Yep that's the one lol. It's not for everyone. It's a slow slow burner, but I enjoy it mainly because I'm a massive fan of BB

The payoff is worth it Meyer. I'm more of a fan of BETTER CALL SAUL than BREAKING BAD.

I liked the first few episodes, but if you didn't like those I seriously doubt you'd like the rest. The great thing about art is that it's subjective. We all experience it differently. To me, BCS isn't nearly as good as BB, but it's still the best show on air right now.

TRAINWRECK: WOODSTOCK 99 on Netflix was an enjoyable 3-part mini-series. Not the heavy handed, "woke", "angry white man," "progressive" documentary that HBO Max put out earlier this year. Each episode focuses on a day within the festival. Worth a watch.

The BCS finale was a disappointment. We got a Hollywood ending. Saul trading 7 years for 86 to "protect" Kim when he didn't have to was ridiculous. Hollywood for some bizarre reason loves stories of redemption. There was no need to redeem Saul

Agreed, ending was good but not great. Was honestly happier if he only got the 7-1/2 and walked after that. However, AMC will be reteaming with Odenkirk for a third time in STRAIGHT MAN as well as Giancarlo Esposito in THE DRIVER. Will have to see a trailer before committing to either.

Watched THE SANDMAN on Netflix. It started out good through the first 4-5 episodes but then takes a turn for the rest of the series. Good, potentially great. Just not a fan of all woke casting choices and changing characters to fit Netflix's apparent agenda.

He was buried in the season unfortunately. I always enjoy COBRA KAI but if you asked me where it ranks amongst the other 4 seasons, this was my least favorite IMO.

SPOILER ALERT!

I thought the season was good until the finale. The way they made Kreese fake his stabbing in order to escape was beyond ridiculous. He was going to get out anyway. It was so unnecessary. It was almost as if the latter part of that episode was written by the writers' children. They also made us think that Chozen had lost his life too, but that didn't happen either. We need bold moves!

I didn't like seeing Terry Silver in cuffs. He's a fantastic villain. I would honestly much rather have him as the show's top villain over Kreese. What a beautiful performance by Thomas Ian Griffith by the way. This guy was done with acting and here he comes knocking it out of the park.

I like that the show has become more violent and grittier. They get a lot of points for that. I'm not seeing a lot of PC nonsense either.

Agreed on both of these points. A lot more F bombs this season. I heard the original plan was for a 6 season arc and as of now, I'm not against them ending it next rather than overstay their welcome.

TERRIFIER

I normally don't write reviews for films released outside of our calendar year but this film is an exception that I want to bring attention to. I only watched this film because it's sequel (aptly titled TERRIFIER 2) has recently been garnering rave reviews. In order to understand the premise of the sequel, I first needed to be introduced to the characters and the story. This film follows Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) who turns in a cynical and terrifying experience not seen since Bill Skarsgård's Pennywise in 2017's IT. With a budget of $100,000 this film feels in many ways that of CLERKS (1994), which is a good thing as it too has itself a cult following. The first 30 minutes of this film ventures into a cat-and-mouse game between Art, Tara (Jenna Kanell), and Dawn (Catherine Corcoran). Either trying or by happenstance Jenna is channeling an inner Neve Campbell a la SCREAM 3 vibe here whereas her trusty bestie Dawn (almost in a more aloof Laurie Strode character) is having none of it. Stuck with a flat tire after a night of drinking, Tara calls her sister Victoria (Samantha Scaffidi) to pick her and Dawn up. However, awaiting Victoria's arrival, Tara and Dawn soon cross paths with Art in ways they wish they wouldn't have. For such a low budget film, this really gets the jobs done! Wonderful acting by Kanell, Corcoran, and Thornton, the cast never limits themselves to their budget. Bloody, gory, and gruesome, this delivers it all! A surprise gem that should be sought out and I applaud the efforts of the cast, crew, and especially writer/director Damien Leone. 7.5/10

I'd done this once before in my life but it's been probably over 10 years since I did it last. I've had the itch recently and will begin having the time to rewatch the original 1998 AFI Top 100 Movie List. It was updated 10 years later with some new additions while taking some away and I'll watch those as well as not all of those films I've seen either.

100. YANKEE DOODLE DANDY (1942)

A wonderful and patriotic film. We could use more films like this today, save for the signing and dancing maybe. I'm not much of a fan of musicals but James Cagney put on a show and man could he dance! Glad to see he won an Oscar out of this too. I also want to mention that at least to me, Patsy Parsons who plays a 12-year-old version of George's sister Josie bore a pretty decent resemblance to Shirley Temple (at least to me). 7/10
