Thomas 'Bomber' Kavanagh facing 20 years in jail over smuggling over €45m worth of drugs into UK
Bomber, who is regarded as Daniel Kinahan's UK business partner and who sat at the very top of the Byrne Organised Crime gang for two decades, is the biggest scalp so far in the fight against the Kinahan mafia.
The cartel by Stephen Breen and Owen Conlon was a good read. The book badfellas which is about OC in Ireland from 60s on also has a few chapters at end about the kinahans.
I just finished reading The Cartel Book (Thanks Vito)! By the end Daniel is basically calling the shots and was the one behind the feud with the Hutches.
While it’s possible I was falling asleep reading it the book didn’t really explain why the father didn’t just put an end to it. It def mentioned how him and his partner weren’t happy with the Heat the feud was brining it didn’t say why he didn’t just end it.
Why is it always Daniel in the news lately, what about his father Christy? Did he already retire from the boss position?
Daniel has become the 'director' of the organization the High Court in Dublin said, Christy focused on his new Dutch wife, he has travelled to the Netherlands on his legitimate passport to stay with her and younger family.

Two men, aged 42 and 22, have been arrested in Spain and are regarded by the British National Crime Agency as members of the Irish crime clan Kinahan . Both were wanted for firearms trafficking. Liam Byrne, 42, from Dublin, considered one of the most trusted members of organized crime group Kinahan, was arrested in Mallorca on Sunday night while eating with family members at a restaurant. He had flown from Dubai to Palma airport on 26 May. Another member of the Kinahan clan, Jack Kavanagh, 22, from Tamworth, Staffordshire, was arrested by Spanish National Police officers at Malaga airport on Tuesday 30 May while in transit from Dubai to Turkey. The arrests follow an NCA-led intelligence investigation, supported by the Spanish National Police and the Irish Police. During the investigation, evidence was collected from decrypted EncroChat messages. It would appear that the two were involved in the supply and sale of firearms. They are currently in detention while extradition proceedings are underway.

I'm suprised he would do that, Christy was known as a smart guy. In prison he studied Spanish and Dutch, which later allowed him to make better contact with other criminals.
