This is exactly what I’m talking about. Blaming you being a serial killer due to untreated dyslexia is behind infuriating and I could not imagine being related to one of his victims and hearing that. Then, people on here like Lenox sympathies with him. Just shut the fuck up.

if you want honest life content from a non-rat try Franzese, a lot better than Alite the rat or Gravano the rat

what is this a therapy session?

this is a mafia discussion, not a "oh woe is me my life is so hard just like Sammy the Rat's"

Exactly. The funniest part of it is the ‘threatening’ messages I got from these two. This isn’t a dr. Phil therapy board.

On this podcast teaser he says Gotti called him to a one on one and told him to kill Gigante because they now knew he was behind the Deccico bombing.Gravano says he had planned out the hit and had all the guys picked for their roles. He says he had whispered in Deccico's coffin that he would avenge his killing and himself kill all involved.I don't know I have read many say Gotti was scared of this guy or that guy.Gotti wasn't afraid of no one.Took out Castellano the way he did and there is no doubt Gravano is telling the truth here so they were gonna take out the Chin.Gotti had the biggest brass balls of them all. This podcast is going to be good.gravano was the real deal

I watched that today. First time I've heard him mention it. Feds didn't put that in his 302s. Sounds like bullshit to me. His strategy was to simply drive by the triangle, have a guy hop out with an Uzi and spray Gigante. Ooooohhhhhkkkkaaaayyyy?!!!!!;;!

Watching these videos he puts out I'm now convinced that Sammy is more egotistical and narcissistic than John Gotti himself.

Although I agree that it does sound like Samny is trying to suddenly add things to make the story even more “entertaining” BUT I don’t think any mobster is as egotistical as Gotti 😂. I mean listening to his jailhouse tapes is hilarious how much he kisses his own ass. Saying things like people would cry In happiness just yo be able to see him in jail or that being a Gotti is “an honor”

Most mob bosses are narcissistic and sociopaths. I love sammy’s channel but he is a sociopath. They justify the murders and convince themselves it was the right thing to do. Mob guys can be very smart and cunning opposed to a gangbanger for example. Thats why mob guys are dangerous.
Gotti was in some ways created by the media. Also getting tens of thousands of fan mail while in jail certainly didnt hurt his ego. Certain people, and gotti was one of them, are born leaders, its an Xfactor that only certain people have. You dont become boss of the largest crime family in America and boss of a bunch of killers for being stupid.
Getting back to Sammy, i firmly believe he concoted stories about certain guys becoming a threat just to take their money. Gotti wasnt like that.

I give credit to Gotti for one thing he did seem to have a way to get guys to go along with him. However r he certainly wasn’t a great leader or anything IMO. If you look at his mob career as a whole yes he did become boss so that’s a huge accomplishment in that world But he had a lot of fuck ups along the way and certainly more after he became boss. I could list all of them but it would be a very long post 😂. I think most agree Frank Decicco would have been the better choice. I still think as a mobster I think Sammy was the better of the two. He was obviously a much better earner than Gotti. He also stayed away from the limelight. He wasn’t a degenerate gambler or have the whole heroin operation like Gotti crew did. Now don’t misunderstand me I think Danny is a piece of shot and should probably still be in jail. But if this was the 1980’s and you asked me who was way a mobster should be if the two I would say Sammy every day of the week twice on Sunday

Its a tough one. Gotti was able to get the backing of the whole family after killing Castellano in an unsanctioned hit. He was only 45 years old.
Gotti had money coming in from other rackets, not just heroin. He also had solid relationships with guys in other families. I do think he had some idea of how contruction and unions worked.

I disagree. Gotti wasn’t a top earner like Sammy. He didn’t know much or have anything to do with construction or white collar rackets which were much more profitable. He was a hijacker and into the strong arm rackets along with the heroin dealing. Also the big reason the crew had to resort to heroin dealing is because Gotti pissed away their profits gambling. This was confirmed by Angelo and Gene Gotti on wiretaps

I agree on some of that ( most). I just dont think sammy had the personality to be be a boss. Gotti was a well known degenerate gambler before he was made boss, everyone knew it but they still made him boss anyway. Thats because he had strong leadership ability. Having great leadership skills doesnt mean you will use them correctly. He definitely had them though. People wanted to be around him. Even old timers liked him.

I think they would have back Decicco as boss too. He was probably more well respected.

Looking over The Gotti Tapes, Gotti himself said that the "best I ever did was go on a few hijackings" and that he never had much money. He was being modest, but it shows he was never a major earner. He also admits to not understanding some rackets and that he just takes Sammy's word for it. He tells a funny story about how Joe Piney was trying to explain a business deal to him, but Piney didn't really understand it either. So they were both discussing it, but neither of them understood what they were talking about. But like Lenox said, Gotti had an X factor that made people like him and follow him.

Back to the original topic though, this latest video is kinda disappointing. None of these guys are ever 100% honest, but Gravano didn't seem to be just making shit up. Now that's changed. FBI debriefings, testimony, interviews and an entire book and Gravano never mentioned Gotti ordering him to kill Chin. That would be a big deal that you wouldn't exclude.

thats funny about joe piney and gotti. he was a huge herion guy like all those guys in the 50tys and 60tys. not knowing about certain contstruction building terms must have befuddled them. but im sure they both got there cutt. both stone cold gangsters

What made me suspicious of the story is the strategy to kill Chin. Roll up to the triangle social club, a guy with an Uzi gets out and just goes in blasting? Doesn't sound like a sound plan to me. Especially when he was known to wander the streets with 1 bodyguard at times.

Yeah good point. If you look at the Castellano hit it was pretty elaborate. They stationed this guy here, these backup shooters here, crash car there and on and on.A very strategic hit. Then just pulling up blasting at Gigante (the real head of the commission) in his own club. But if you think about it how else could you kill The Chin.He never went to Sparks or Tomassos. He never went more than a mile down the road his whole life. You would almost have to pull up on him and start shooting. It would really be a suicide mission.Like you said he always had killers around him.If you were to pull up at the triangle they may have gotten Gigante. But just like Columbo the men around Chin would surely have killed the hit team.He didnt even take money from his capos much less tell them where he would be going at a certain time.He only spoke with Baldy Dom,mangano,Mana just a few.So no capo could betray him like Deccico did Castellano. So you can't ambush. No way to pull it off the guy never went nowhere

Sammy may have told Gotti they should kill Gigante but in no way did they seriously discuss it. Think of all the planning that went into the Castellano hit.. He expects us to believe he would of killed Gigante in such a simplistic way knowing full well the fbi was always watching his club.
I dont buy it.

The best way to whack Chin would have been to set up on the townhouse he shared with Olympia Esposito or catch him when he wandered the streets with 1 bodyguard in his bathrobe. He did hold meetings at the Triangle Club at 3am, so if he was talking about hitting him there it would had to have been at one of those late night meetings.

The first podcast is on youtube. Watching now...

I don’t know if I believe the story of Sammy trying to have Gigante whacked. First time I’ve ever heard of this..

“I called your f—— house five times yesterday, now, if you’re going to disregard my m—– f—— phone calls, I’ll blow you and that f —— house up… This is not a f—— game. My time is valuable. If I ever hear anybody else calls you and you respond within five days, I’ll f—— kill you.” ~ John Gotti.

He had to make up something thats not on tape ... the other stuff he has to say has been known for years . The next one will have to have more drama to keep it going.

Dam shame because they have a lot of air time doing this stuff and if his people would come on places like here and the Hand “ they would find out what people really want to know and Sammy has the answers he is just not a story teller and needs a pro to help him. Sammy was around for a lot of shit with big bosses and skippers he has the stories but nobody to get it done right so they will have to embellish many things to grab folks.

Cackling like a banty Rooster.

Podcast was pretty good. I liked that they got into what was said in the car with the agents after they arrested them at the Ravenite. My favorite part was when George Gabriel said a Gotti was Very confident he would hear the case but once Gabriel said “You know John, you really shouldn’t have talked so much in Mrs Cerelli’s apartment” Gotti immediately shut the hell up 😂

Gotti never had such good memory in his life until that moment lol He remembered every single word that came out his mouth. Castellano hit, Ragging on his no. #2, insight into the uppermost parts of their business. He must've been sick, I know I would've been

Yeah I know a Gotti wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed but he damn sure knew he was screwed then. As for the Gigante hit plan I’d say that was bullshit. Neither Gotti or Gravano would screw with the Chin or Casso. Let’s be honest they killed Decicco, Lino, and Boriello without retaliation
