The scene opens inside the home of Don Tommassino, in Sicily. Inside, Vincent Corleone, formerly known as Vincent Mancini is seated in a large room. Stood next to him is his uncle Michael's former Caporegime, Al Neri.

Al, "Your uncle Michael has requested that you attend the wedding of his daughter, Mary."

Vincent, "We'll discuss it later."

Al, "Also, the late Don Tommasino's wife would like to see you."

Vincent, "Is it necessary?"

Al, "She would like to make a request, in the late don's name."

Vincent, "Send her in."

Al then leaves Vincent's side and opens the door. He signals for one of his men to fetch Don Tommasino's wife and send her in. One of the four men guarding the door immediately leave in search of her.

Finally, the man returns with Don Tommasino's grieving wife by his side. He takes her as far as Al and then re-groups with the others. Al puts his right hand on her back and gently escorts her in Vincent's direction. The two start to speak in Italian, a language that Vincent had not spoken for many years.

Vincent, "Che posso fare lei, Signoro Tommasino?" (What can I do for you Mrs. Tommasino)

Mrs. Tommasino, "Don Corleone..."

Vincent, "Per favore, Signoro Tommasino, me chiama Vincent. Sono in nessuna posizione al rispetto di deman per la moglie di uno degli uomini più amati del Sicilia." (Please, Mrs. Tommasino, call me Vincent. I am in no position to deman respect for the wife of one of the most beloved men in Sicily.)

Mrs. Tommasino, "Amerei per fare una richiesta semplice, nel mio nome del marito." (I would like to make a simple request, in my husband's name.)

Vincent, "Niente." (Anything.)

Mrs. Tommasino, "Poiché la mia morte del marito, non ho fatto niente ma mie sono pianto dormire di notte. L'Everytime chiudo i miei occhi posso vederlo, gridando per la sua vita come quei bastardi l'hanno portato!..." (Since my husband's death, I have done nothing but cried myself to sleep at night. Everytime I close my eyes I can see him, screaming for his life as those bastards took it!...")

A tear falls from Mrs. Tommasino's eye and she pauses.

Vincent, "Continuare." (Go on.)

Mrs. Tommasino, "Chiedo che lei vendica la mia morte del marito, e porta i viveri dei bastardi che ha assassinato lui!" (I ask that you avenge my husband's death, and take the lives of the bastards who murdered him!)

The don glares at Al. He signals for the old Caporegime to come over. Al does so and lowers his head while Vincent whispers something into his ear.

Vincent, "Può essere disposto, Signoro Tommasino." (It can be arranged, Mrs. Tommasino.)

The late don's wife immediately falls on one knee and kisses Vincent's hand. She embraces him and then leaves the room.

Al, "Some research will have to be done beforehand, Vinnie. It won't be as easy as finding and killing the two men that did it."

Vincent, "I know, Al. I know."

There is no violence in this scene, but it's exactly what I was going for. I think it's similar to The Godfather Part III's style of script. What do you think?

Not bad, but this should have gone in the GF4 section

"I never wanted this for you. I work my whole life--I don't apologize--to take care of my family, and I refused to be a fool, dancing on the string held by all those bigshots. I don't apologize--that's my life--but I thought that, that when it was your time, that you would be the one to hold the string. Senator Corleone; Governor Corleone."
-Don Vito Corleone to his son, Michael

Is this a GF4 script? If so, it should be noted that Mary died in Part 3, and if I'm not mistaken the guys who killed Mary also killed Don Tommassino and at least one (the older one)was killed by Vinnie.
