I too assumed he was going to have karen killed, but for the reasons Turnbull mentioned, it wouldn't make sense, which is why this always confused me. The look Jimmy gives the camera when Karen flees would also hint that she was to have been murdered, but she didn't fall into the trap. If he was to have her killed, then why were those two burly guys in plain view? Wouldn't they be hiding somewhere, awaiting her arrival. Good question. As you can see, I am still confused!
