Apple, in real life, Bugsy had moved to a suite in the still-a'building Flamingo Hotel after selling his home in Beverly Hills. He was summoned to a meeting in LA on the day he was killed, and was in Virginia Hill's home in Beverly Hills that night. He was killed in her home. She was in Europe at the time. In real life, Harry (Big Greenie) Greenberg had ratted out some NYC Mob higher-ups and was hiding out on the West Coast. He was looking to avoid Siegel. Siegel was given a contract to find Greenie and kill him. NYC Mob higher-ups (probably Joe Adonis) sent Allie (Tick Tock) Tannenbaum and Frankie (Mr. Gray) Carbo to the Coast to assist. Siegel also recruited his brother in law, Whitey Krakauer, for the hit. He found Greenie and drove one of two cars on the hit. The others were triggermen.

Turnbull, I'm trying to follow the homes because they appear the same to me: The house Ben buys from that Opera Singer is his house alone, Hill's house is different? That is the house he sells right? Is Hill's house the one he throws her brother through the door in? The living rooms appear very similiar to me, also isn't it the wrong eye he is shot in in the movie?

In the film, Lansky is shown as approving the hit on Bugsy. But in reality, no one knows for sure who ordered, approved or carried out the hit. In the film, Lansky says to Bugsy, "You always protected me." The real-life Lansky needed no protection from Bugsy or anyone else--he was plenty tough. While we're at it, the film portrays Frank Costello as a major-league dunce ("Duh, you mean f*****g and air conditioning are related?"). The real Costello was probably the smartest US Mafia guy ever.
