I just watched True Romance for the first time! It was nice to have a happy ending.
Need to watch it a few more times now!

I watched it too, PM!

But I found it to be exaggerated, inappropriately profane, full of far-fetched mayhem, far from the usual QT wit, tediously predictable, and very unmemorable. It is somewhat (almost) saved by the delightful cameos of Oldman, Walken, Hopper and Pitt.

I thought it was unpleasant overall. But the early scenes with Oldman, Hopper and Walken were worth the price of admission.

For me it was a really bad film. My opinion probably is biased somewhat by my hate for Christian Slater. The chemistry and story between him and Patricia Arquette was terrible to the level of Mary and Vincent in GFIII.

I did actually buy it blind based on a friends recommendation and the cast in it. A week later I sold it to that friend.

I saw this for the first time the other day too. I liked it. Thought it was so good I stayed up later than normal to watch it to the end
Maybe it was because of christian Slater it was good, Oldmans appearance was OK but he reminded me too much of Bram Stokers "Dracula" role. I think it was all the hair!!
I thought the fight scene between Patricia Arquette and Gandolfini was really gritty and gory. Maybe it's just one of those films that appeals more to women after all it was "True Romance"

Turi, I'd have taken that DVD off yer hands, with a small monetery shortfall obviously :p
