I am going to purchase a few Brian De Palma's movies, and Carlito's Way is on my list.

I have seen the old DVD version, and here's the problem I have with it:

Sound: The sound was terrible, but I find this in majority of new releases. The sound is sharp when it comes to Special Effect Scenes, and the Action Scenes. But when actors were speaking, I could not hear them at all. This is because the DVD sound is really made for a Theatre, and when I play it on my TV I have to activate the subtitles.

I Have A Few Questions Regarding The New DVD:

1. Are the colors sharp? Better than the original release?
2. How is the sound?
3. Was the "Making Of" Good? Did Brian De Palma mention any cuts that the movie faced? Possibly for violence.
