You will find that the book, "Donnie Brasco," is better than the movie because it contains more detail and plenty of stuff that the movie omitted--especially about Tony Mirra, "a very scary guy," and Brasco's adventures with Frank Balestrieri, the Don of Milwaukee.

Johnny
I believe the Kennedy assassination has the most books written about an historical event. Do a search. There are JFK books pertaining to a Cuban connection with Castro, the mob, the CIA, the FBI, doctors in on the conspiracy, etc. Name the angle and there is probably a theory in a book somewhere. Off the top of my head, I know one "Destiny Betrayed: JFK and the Mafia."

Another excellent one is "Best Evidence," but it does NOT have a mob connection.

No, because there aren't any good ones. Some books mention that his father had gangster connections going back to the Prohibition era, when he was a big importer of Scotch whiskey. That part may be true. And there are the usual allegations that Sam Giancana helped him carry Illinois in the 1960 campaign. That's BS! Giancana had no motivation to help JFK. A year earlier, when JFK chaired a Senate committee investigating labor racketeering and Robby was chief counsel, the two of them ripped into Jimmy Hoffa and Giancana, with Bobby likening Giancana to "a little girl." The Teamsters, not surprisingly, supported Nixon in 1960. JFK did have Judy Campbell as one of his many mistresses, and she had been Giancana's bedmate. But JFK dropped her fast after J. Edgar Hoover let Bobby know that he knew about the relationship.
