What are you talking about? I said nothing about typing in caps. Nothing at all, about that.

And I posted that to prove a point.

Yes it is. Don't DARE implicate it is a gangstA movie. [/b][/quote]Scarface isnt about Organized crime so it's not a mobster/gangstER movie(in my eyes) but it sure as hell isnt a gangstA movie. Its just a really great movie.

We've had this argument in another forum, but(in my eyes) it IS a mobster/gangster movie because it is about organized crime. Is the Soprano's a show about family because you see a family portreyed?

Actually, Tony was in a Cartel, which is an orginized syndicate, just like Pablo Escobar's cartel.

But the Sopranos goes into the specifics of the bussiness like Goodfellas for instance.

The Godfather is about an Italian American Family who are involved in ilegitamate operations.

That is actually a VERY inaccurate description of a mafia. Ask Turnbull.

I believe the GF Trilogy is a saga about a family over the years. The Mafia and gangsterism are the defining milieu for the family, but the Trilogy isn't a Mafia movie per se. I make an analogy with another epic: "Gone With The Wind" is about a family over the years, with the Civil War as the defining milieu. But it's not a Civil War movie per se.

I'm Italian, and I don't consider that racisum. He's basically stating a point.

It's a fact that an Italian criminal organization consisting of several members of the same biological family is refered to as the mafia. However If he said something like "All Italians are criminals" or "all Italians are in the mafia" THEN i'd think its offensive and THEN it'd be racisum, but he didn't say that. There is no racist remarks in his post.
