Butcher Bill sure "stole" that movie. The film is very historically "correct" and if all goes well I will purchase it at some point. We had to study NYC history as kids, so I KNOW almost all of the movie with the exception of the love story was accurate. The Discovery Channel had a special show that proved that even the gangs' names, the fire house rivalries, the woman with the long nails and Butcher Bill were authentic.
Foolish consistencies are the hobgoblins of little minds.

Lungo, If you have a multi region player, go to http://www.playusa.com and order it. It is cheaper (£15.99 i think) than it will be when it comes out in the UK and you can get it next week! No postage and packing, either.

i just bought my copy today (the release date) at circut city for 15.99 (The best price i can find. I never saw it, but based on the reviews of the film as well as the awards won for it, (and no need to mention that is was a Scorsese film) i will be adding it to my collection.
Bart, Is it wrong to steal a loaf of bread to feed your starving family? No. Well suppose you got a large starving family, is it wrong to steal a truckload of bread to feed them? Uh-uh. And what if your family don't like bread, they like cigarettes? I guess thats ok. Now what if instead of giving them away, you sold them at a price that was practically giving them away. Would that be a crime Bart?
