Angie,
Did you know that it is a remake of an old Michael Caine version?
I've only seen parts of the original and the new Wahlberg version isn't out here yet, but apparently this one is a lot more 'Hollywood' than the original version, which reached iconic status in the UK.

I had heard that it was a remake but I didn't know who starred in it. I would like to see the original sometime. I imagine this new version is more "Hollywood."

The original is an absolutely fantastic film, very clever and funny, and totally unique. Don't bother wasting money going to see the re-make, rent the original on DVD and you'll see just how great it is! Ciao!

Why is Hollywood persisting in ripping off Michael Caine movies? First, Get Carter, now this? it just doens't work, I'm afraid. Raymondo, welcome to the BB! Mick
