i have lots of parts that i laugh at everytime i watch it:
(in no particular order)
1. when they go to Tommy's mother's house for a shovel.the fact that they get a whole meal at that time of night, and tommy's loving side toward his mother, while the guy who he's just almost beat to death his on the car outside.

2. billy batts' welcome home "party" ("now go get your fuckin' shine box!")

3. when they are digging up batts: "here's a wing! what do ya want, Henry? the leg or the wing?"

4. "no, you insulted him a little bit." classic acting, and so believable i can't help but laugh!

5. when Henry pistol whips the guy across Karen's street.

Played by Scorsese's real life mom, who also plays a woman in the street in GF III, and has a role, I think, as someone's mom in CASINO.

It is a great scene in GOODFELLAS. I love the part when tommy takes the knife with him.

The two scenes back-to-back--Batts in the Suite, followed by Tommy's Mom--are the two best scenes in "Goodfellas," and that's a film that is just loaded with great scenes, one after another. What makes them great is that they have that patented Scorsese feel: they seem almost spontaneous, not staged. Plus, Catherine Scorsese is really funny, telling that story about "the Camparis." BTW: she was also in "Mean Streets" and her voice was heard, off-camera, in "The King of Comedy," where she was DeNiro's mom.

i think Mori's wig coming off and Liotta's brilliant laughing is also funny!

that tells really how grreat the acting is; we remember this film--a very violent one!--because of the scenes where the acting is required. any other film, we would remember it because of the violence, but we don't: perhaps the most wll-known scene is the "do i amuse you" scene, which has very little violence in it compared to the rest of the movie.

this film has got to be the bets-cast film i have seen. every SINGLE actor gives a top notch performance.

Tommy:"You got one dog looking this way and one dog looking the other way"
Tommy's Mom:"Yeah, one dog's looking east and one dog's looking west, so what?"
Tommy:"Then you got this guy who's like 'Hey whaddaya want from me?!' "

Absolutely the one of the funniest if not the funniest part in the movie. I die everytime i see that part!!

Goodfellas is FULL of funny scenes...

The scene; "what's so fucking funny about me"
And the scene where the waiter tells Tommy to go fuck himself are preety funny.

Yep, after the "you know, the way you tell the story" scene when the waiter comes to ask about the bill;
"Tommy, don't be like that."
"Whaddaya mean don't be like that......*SMASH* (Bottle meets head)".......Genius.

Heh, i was just talking about this recentely, when a friend who had not seen the movie of mine commented that I was "funny" and I pretended to do the "funny how?" thing and me and another friend talked about how hilarious Goodfellas was.

Of course I love thw whole "funny" scene, brilliant.

When I first saw it, I actually laughed like crazy when they rustled up that postman. "Any more letters from the school come directly to us." Wished I had that kind of power as a school boy .

A thing in there that I just love as it is comical and eerie is the short part where thye look at one of Pesci's mother's pictures and Tommy laughs and yells "it's him!" referring, with Jimmy, to Billy Batts wo is right outside. I laugh and crap my pants with that bit right at the same time with it's eerie comic tension.
