I just got finished with a book, "Mafia Dynasty", the rise and fall of the Gambino crime family. It's very discriptive without making you bored. Describes everything so you have a clear picture in your mind of whats going on... sometimes too clear. Takes place all the way before prohibition till the rule of John Gotti. Even have some pictures you can look at. I don't recommend this for the light hearted, but it's a great read.

That book is my all time favorite Mafia book. Couldn't of explained any better.

Leonard: I dont know. See, I have this condition.
Teddy: Well, I hope its not as serious as his, 'cos this guy's dead.

Yeah I agree with you, it sits next to, "The Complete Idiots Guide to the Mafia", in my bookshelf.

I disliked it, there were too many errors...

Here's a couple off the top of my head:

1. Castellano's mansion was bugged innocently by a tv repairman... it was no daring overnight covert opperation.

2. The near beating to death that Luciano recieved in a limosine was not orchestrated by Maranzano to convince him to kill Masseria... it was Masseria all along... trying to scare Lucky out of his ambition.

I've found a ton of errors, I didn't like the read all that much.

There's nothin' on the top but a bucket and a mop and an illustrated book about birds.
