I heard that he does, but I'm not sure. I was hoping that I could get opinions on the book, if there is one.

I don't believe that he did.
I just completed a ten page research paper on the guy though... he is truly fascinating...

http://www.crimelibrary.com/

Go under gangsters and read the article on him, at the end the writer gives links to a bunch of good Luciano books, good luck.

There are several books about him. The closest to an autobiography is "The Last Testament of Lucky Luciano," by Marvin Gosch, supposedly written with his cooperation. It's out of print but if you really want a copy, you can probably find one on one of the used book sites. Try abebooks.com, which I've used and is reliable.

The rumour is that Lucky wrot ehsi auto-biography while away in Sicily in 1940's-50's?

He told his family he didn't want it printed until after his death.

He died in 1965, and i believe the book Last Testaments of Lucky Luciano may have come out in the 70's.

Same with Meyer Lansky.

Little Man was told by Meyer Lansky to Robert Lacey. Meyer died in 1983, and i beleive Little Man came out in 1985.

Only Joe Bonanno has his auto-biography released while he was still alive.

Gay Telese wrote Honor Thy Father about the Bonannos and released it in 1971.

Joe Bananas wrote A Man Of Honor and released it in 1983, shortly after Lansky's death.

Bill Bonanno released Bound By Honor in 1991, his autobiography and a blened biography of his father.

Joe O'Brien released Boss of Bosses: The FBI and Paul Castellano in 1987, two years after Big Paul's murder in 1985

Gravano released hi sbook Underboss in the 1990's.

Nick Pileggi has written:
Wiseguy-Henry and Karen Hill's account about the Lucchese Family and the Lufthansa Heist.

Casino- Frank Rosenthal, Alan Glick, and Frank Cullotta's account of Las Vegas in the 1970's and 1980's and their involvement with Anthony Spilotro and the Outfit.

Also: Jimmy Fratianno, the Last Mafioso

Thanks for the info. I read Gravano's book. He's such a little hypocrite. He also contradicts himself in the book. In one chapter, he talks about Gotti's greatness, then in the next chapter he talks about how Gotti is horrible.

That's exactly what he does. But Gravano blames the 11 murders on Gotti. Yeah Gotti was the boss who order the murders. Yet when Gotti was boss, Gravano had more power. He could have asked Gotti to give those people another chance, but he did not. So it's Gotti and Gravano's fault for the 11 murders.

Oh yeah, Frank Locasio is at fault too. I almost forgot about him. I feel kind of bad for him though, because people seem to have forgotten about him being put in prison because of Gravano. I like Gotti, but everyone seems to have a Free Gotti site, while no one seems to care about Frankie Loc.

Calling Gravano a hypocrite is just about the biggest understatement of the year. In his book, Gravano denigrates Castellano as a mere "racketeer," while he and Gotti were, by golly, real "gangsters." Then he repeats, verbatim, every word of praise that Castellano ever gave him. He puts Gotti in the same league as himself, a "gangster," then blames Gotti for his having turned rat.
That said, the Kurins/O'Brien book, "Boss of Bosses," paints a pretty dismal picture of Castellano.

You're right, that is an understatement. He's worse than a hypocrite. Whatever that may be!
Gotti never made him turn into a rat, like Gotti said,"rats aren't made, they're born." I read that he said that on AmericanMafia.com. I didn't like that he put all of the complients Castellano ever said about him in the book. Then, he claims that if Castellano would have listened to him, John Gotti, Frank DeCicco, and Frank Locasio, he might still be alive. That's sick!
