I just bought this today with some birthday money, and I would have to say that it is excellent. It is funny seeing Pacino in the tracksuit and blow dried hair end of the mafia as opposed to the top, but he is as usual brilliant. And Johnny Depp, an actor i usually am no great fan of, is excellent. I hadnt seen this film in some years, but I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Unlike Casino

Cicci, a porta.

Could you get me off the hook Tom? For old times sake?

I thought Donnie Brasco was a great movie. If you have not read the book you should. The book is really good.

Leonard: I dont know. See, I have this condition.
Teddy: Well, I hope its not as serious as his, 'cos this guy's dead.

Movie was very good, book was even better, imhop. Book had good chapters on two people who were left out of the movie: Frank Balistrieri, boss of Milwaukee, and Tony Mirra, a very scary guy (to quote another movie).

You know I have never read the book. I am going to take a trip later this month and I think the book would be something good to read while waiting in the airport and plane..Thanks!

Donnie Brasco does a better job of portraying the often mundane existance of street level mob hoods than any other mob flick I have seen. Pacino is brilliant as Lefty, I think it's the best role he's ever played. It's also good to see Bruno Kirby (young Clemenza) back in the mob. Not 100% accurate to the book but they never are.

Outstanding acting all the way around! I just wished Lefty coulda' somehow got that boat and sailed off into the sunset. The whole film actually made you pity the poor bastard.
