Anyone see this Johnny Depp movie? I liked it but it left me very depressed.

I haven't seen that, but I think I heard of it. Is that the one with Christina Ricci, and Depp's character is like his character in Chocolat, but this time he's from Paris?
The last Johnny Depp movie I saw was The Brave, that was pretty depressing too. I coulda sworn Apollonia was in it, but turns out it wasn't her.
The Brave was an alright movie, Marlon Brando was in it too, but not for very long.

Are you talking about "From Hell"? I saw it. I wasn't too impressed.

The one thing I really liked about " From Hell " was that it was very accurate in the time line of the murders ande the characters. All though it is not likely that the characters of the victims really knew each other, the movie follows very closely to the events that took place. The ending of the movie, which adhered to the " Royal Conspiracy " theory, was very popular in London at the time. I also thought the cinemetography was beautiful. The only thing that bothered me was Heather Ghramsb performance. Her English accent was lacking at best. I also just couldn't buy her as a dirty hooker. That was a little over the top to me.

Though it be madness, yet there is method in't.
