i bought the book 3 months ago and having a good time reading the first few chapters. but for no apparent reason and i don't know why, i'm stocked in chapter 3. i'm now reading the Valachi Papers. i find this more interesting coz its a true story and come back to the Family after this . . .

Try to stick with it. I am reading it now too and I have to say it IS slow reading. I usually whip through a book of this size in a week or so and it does get a bit bogged down. The writing is not as slick as I wanted it to be but reading it DOES give you SO MUCH background info. and tidbits of interesting stuff and that is what is forcing me to continue reading it..

I listened to the book on tape, Its easier to not get get bored with the slow parts if you can be doing something else while your wearing your headphones.
Dont give it up I thought it was worth reading. Kinda different with the characters having so many things going on in their lives besides holding up trucks and running protection scams.
