Are the Corleonesi family in Omerta in any way related to the Corleone family from the Godfather? It may seem like a silly question but I kept wondering the entire way through whether or not there was any kind of connection at all between the two.

He also mentions the Clerizcio (probably spelled wrong) in the book. If you don't know that is the Family in the Last Don.

Yeah, I know Puzo mentioned the Clericuzio as well. If I remember correctly he said that the Clericuzio and the Corleone's were 2 of the greatest families, or something along those lines.

This stands for something like "The band/gang from Corleone"...It is not the Corleone Family and it's not called The Corleone Family... I can't remember the mentioning of The Clericuzios in Omerta, I haven't read the book since January... But he loves the Clericuzio name as his mother's first married man's name was Clericuzio, he thought it was hmmmmm......"demonic" or something like that according to Carol Gino...

you also have to remember that the Godfather Corleone's are really Andolini's so they wouldn't be related to Corleones in Sicily
