I've seen this being advertised on VH-1 for the past couple weeks now.

Pearl Jam is one of my favorite bands of all time, and one of the greatest rock bands of all time, IMO.

It's on right now...and so far the performances have been great. It's interesting hearing the stories behind each of the songs (Vedder talking politics...not so much. This is a concert...not a political debate.)

I think Eddie Vedder is a modern-day Bob Dylan, in regards to his song writing.

Anyone other Pearl Jam fans out there? Anybody been looking forward to this?

Pearl Jam is great, and I love Vedder's lyrics, but I wouldn't say Bob Dylan as a comparison at all.

I love Peal Jam's earlier stuff best.

I don't think the Bob Dylan comparison is bad at all, really. I'm not comparing the songs they wrote, or how they wrote them so much as their song writing abilities. They are both lyrical geniuses.

I'm also a bigger fan of their older stuff then their most recent material. "Ten" is one of my all-time favorite albums...with "Black" probably being my favorite song of all time...from ANY band.

i hate pearl jamming

And you liar, teller of tall tales: you trample all the Lord's commandments underfoot, you murder, steal, commit adultery, and afterward break into tears, beat your breast, take down your guitar and turn sin into a song. Shrewd devil, you know very well that God pardons singers no matter what they do, because he can simply die for a song.

I saw Pearl Jam as opening band in a club in NYC, in the early
90's. We never heard of them, and thought they sucked.
It was a short time after that I heard their first CD, and purchased it.
