My top 10 westerns well here goes. 1. The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly 2. Pale Rider(used to be number 1) 3. For a Few Dollars More 4. Fistful of Dollars 5. Tombstone 6. Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid 7. The Outlaw Josey Wales 8. Young Guns/Young Guns 2 9. High Plains Drifter 10. Wyatt Earp(even though a lot of people put this movie down, I like it) Movies that just missed my top 10 Hang Em High Unforgiven-It didn't make my top 10 as I think it's clearly the worst of Clints westerns. The Quick & The Dead with Sam Elliot The Shadow Riders with Tom Selleck & Sam Elliot. As you all can probably tell from my list I'm a huge fan of Clint Eastwoods westerns. As he's clearly the best western movie star of all time IMO. John Wayne can't hold a candle to him. Awaits the flames that are sure to come!

I'm not really a fan of the spaghetti westerns, though. I agree with you that its too bad that they're not making good westerns anymore. Aside from all the great westerns made in the 40's and 50's I grew up with them on television. Back in the late 50's/early 60's there were a ton of them being televised. Every network (all 3 of them) had some on and every night of the week was covered. I guess they went out of vogue.

Tombstone Pale Rider Young Guns The Westerner
And I love old 'b' westerns from the 30's and 40's by Roy Rogers, GEne Autry, Buck Jones, 3 Mesquiteers and others. Even John Wayne made some really campy b westerns in the 30's.
There is something about seeing Roy and the boys chasing the bad guys on horses and Dale Evans rides through the middle of them all in a 1947 Plymouth.
