Borrowing a page from RRA's playbook, I want to ask a big what-if,

WHAT IF...the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks never happen? Would George W. Bush remain a one term President like Papa? Does the Bush era run relatively smooth?

Thing is, what about the hijackers? Did the Feds bust and send them off to CIA prisons in Eastern Europe, or did they simply never able to group up?

Either way, in this different universe, September 11, 2001 passes without notice. The public is fixed on the Andrean Yates trial, and the President has his struggles with the Democratic-controlled Senate.

Bush being a one-term President is quite possible.

No question Bush is out in 1 term. But then Guiliani wouldn't be as highly regarded as he is now. Some tend to forget that he made a lot of enemies, but also did some great things for NYC pre 9/11. But his legacy will always be his leadership on 9/11 and in its aftermath.

I'll tell you the person who "benefited" from 9/11. And what I mean by benefited is that the media attention was taken off of him: Gary Condit, the politician suspected in the disappearance of Chaundra Leavy. If you recall, the guy was being followed around constantly by the media. I'm not for 1 second insinuating that Condit was glad 9/11 happened. But it certainly helped take the heat off of him.

I wonder if we go into Iraq if 9/11 had not happened. I don't know the answer. I tend to think that Bush, Cheney, & Wolfowitz had it on the agenda all along - 9/11 just seemed to be the unexpected and convenient justification they were looking for.

...and things round here would be a lot nicer.

I was thinking the whole world would be nicer. But who knows for sure save for those living in a parrallel universe.

I just got this from a friend... I find it very interesting. Anyone know if it's all true?

1) New York City has 11 letters

2) Afghanistan has 11 letters.

3) Ramsin Yuseb (The terrorist who threatened to destroy the Twin Towers in 1993) has 11 letters.

This could be a mere coincidence, but this gets more interesting:

1) New York is the 11th state.

2) The first plane crashing against the Twin Towers was flight number 11.

3) Flight 11 was carrying 92 passengers. 9 + 2 = 11

4) Flight 77 which also hit Twin Towers, was carrying 65 passengers. 6+5 = 11

5) The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11 as it is now known. 9 + 1+ 1 = 11

6) The date is equal to the US emergency services telephone number 911. 9 + 1 + 1 = 11.

Sheer coincidence..?! Read on and make up your own mind:

1) The total number of victims inside all the hi-jacked planes was 254. 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

2) September 11 is day number 254 of the calendar year. Again 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

3) The Madrid bombing took place on 3/11/2004. 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11.

4) The tragedy of Madrid happened 911 days after the Twin Towers incident.

Now this is where things get totally eerie:

The most recognised symbol for the US, after the Stars & Stripes, is the Eagle. The following verse is taken from the Quran, the Islamic holy book:

"For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced: for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah and there was
peace."

That verse is number 9.11 of the Quran.

Still uncovinced about all of this..?! Try this and see how you feel afterwards, it made my hair stand on end:

1. Type in capitals Q33 NY. This is the flight number of the first plane to hit one of the Twin Towers.

2. Highlight the Q33 NY.

3. Change the font size to 48.

4. Change the actual font to the WINGDINGS

I always find the comparisons (as you posted above), if nothing else very interesting and even kind of eerie.

I too, remember they had a list out comparing JFK to Lincoln. The ones that stick to my mind were: Booth shot Lincoln in a theater and ran to a warehouse and Oswald shot JFK from a warehouse (book depository) and ran to a theater. And, Lincoln's Secretary of State (?) was named Kennedy, and Kennedy's Secretary of State was named Lincoln.

WRONG- The two flights were American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175. "Q33" was not even on the planes in any way and has no association with either aircraft.

Well I don't know about the "drop of a hat." I think that you may be exagerating a bit as I only posted that list once.

But I must have gotten my point across because you just keep bringing it up in almost every post that you make in almost every topic that you post in.
