I aways thought it was "Stroonz" as that's how my grandparents say it. They said it means "asshole".
In the original book he tells her to go stick it up her ass or something to that nature.

Olivant, how about the term mingia or minkia. I hear that a lot, even on TV and in movies. Stuff like, Mingia, what a body on her. How does the word translate in English?

Thanks, wil.
It's actually: Minchia (pronounced "mink-ya"). Minchia is a sicilian word meaning nothing but "c*ck". But yes, Olivant is correct, it is used like "holy cow!" and such.

That might be because it is a stricly Sicilian (or at least southern-Italian) word. It IS the sicilian equivalent to the Italian word "cazzo", although both are probably used in Sicily.
