Everytime i think about the godfather part III ending, everytime i look into a thread about it, the music comes in my head and sad images too. I get very depressed and i try to think about something else but that music and the michael scream comes back to me and the backflash of michael's loves, it's very sad....Does anyone have this problem?

Um...maybe you should see a shrink tongue
No,I dont have your problem, but when I do see the end of 3,it makes the rest of the movies flash through my mind, and it makes Vito's pain at Sonny's death seem more real, makes everything seem more vivid.....maybe I need a shrink too.

That scene when Michael is Silently Screaming is a realy touching scene. Pacino absolutely conveys his pain in that scene, you can actually feel it! If the saying " his silence speaks in volumes " were to ever pertain to a scene in a movie, then that scene is the one! Definately another show of acting brilliance by Pacino!

You're also being affected by the music: the "Intermezzo Sinfonico" from "Cavalleria Rusticana," which is universally regarded as one of the great sad works of music.

Turnbull has a good point - the music is so powering - everytime I hear the Godfather Waltz and Finale I feel funny - like the music takes me to a different place- I know I need a shrink!

Turnbull - THANK YOU!!!! I finally have the name of the music from the end of Part III. I haven't been able to find the name anywhere... I wish they added it on the soundtrack to Part III.

As for the sadness at the end of Part III, I share this dude's pain. Part III left me depressed for a good week after I first saw it, for several different reasons. Whenever I watch that scene, it makes me teary eyed.

Definitely the best and most powerful culmination of a trilogy or movie, ever.

I heard or read somewhere that Mario Puzo said that Pacino's depiction of traumatic grief, the "Silent Scream", was the single most effective piece of acting that he had ever seen. It is made more affecting by having the Vincent Mangano character, Michael's would-be successor, witness this scene helplessly, grimly looking on at the personal devastation that has come to someone who has wielded criminal power for so long. This is the moral center of the entire Godfather film trilogy. The payoff, if you will. And it rightly hurts.

I believe that is the saddest part of any movie. The way he screamed shocked the audience as it shocked even Kay who couldn't believe he cared about Mary that much.

Sicilian -- I wouldn't be in this shape! Pop had Genco -- look what I got." - Sonny Corleone
