Run,.. Don't walk but run out and pick this 30th box set celebrating on of the best Rock and Roll albums ever written and recorded.

This is a great package with a digitally remastered disc of this great album and two DVD's. One DVD is a documentary of the production and the sessions that occured during the recording of Springsteens labor of love. The other DVD is a complete live performance from Novemeber 1975 at the Hammersith in London. All this for the modest price of $25.00

The remastered disc is fantastic; the sound is incredible bringing forward little nuances that improve an already great record without changing the integrity of the original recording. You listen and can't help but notice these little differences. This was new, crisp, and sizzling, and it also reaffirms that BTR was made to listen to in its entirety from start to finish. I am so pleased with the remastering and I also like the replication of the original album jacket.

I watched Hammersmith in two parts early before work this week and immediately enjoyed it. Because it was early I had to keep the volume somewhat low. At times I felt like I was sixteen years old and expected Don Kirshner to cut in after a song and say with that nasal voice “When we come back we will have more of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Now this morning I watched it a little and let the home theater flex its muscle's (I have a very modest home theater I might add)......

Wow the sound is fantastic. It is hard to believe that this has been in a vault for all these years. Everything about this Hammersmith DVD is great.

Great Package for a Great Album

Another reason I wish I had more money. There are so many boxsets I'd love to get. So far I only have With the Lights Out. I'd love to get this, Black Sabbath's, and even Hendrix's.

Born to Run is easily one of my favourite albums of all time. The DVD's sound great. I hope to pick this up soon, but cash is at a premium with the holidays coming up.
That, and the fact that RUSH's double dvd, and double cd package of their 30th anniversary show is coming out tomorrow and I will buy that immediately.

After reading Mick's review, I'm convinced I need to see this sooner rather than later. I'm most excited about the 1975 live performance, which I'm blown away sounds so good according to Mick.

I hope this is a trend for Bruce about releasing a dvd of a show from each concert tour he was on from BTR forward. I don't think he really had started regular filming until the BITUSA tour, but hey, he's probably got whole shows from the Darkness & River tours somewhere in his vaults.

One other thing for any Springsteen buffs. I found a cool site where you can hear some of his live songs from the current tour. He has done a lot of reinterpretations of songs dating back to Asbury Park and unreleased stuff such as "Song for the Orphans."

You can go here and click on Share The Music . That will open up a new screen and you'll have options of MP3 downloads (all free) and even some DVD material. It has recent live versions of everything from "Thundercrack," "Fire," "Drive All Night," and "The Fever" to name but a few.
