I've got about 1,000 songs, but it isn't enough. I need and want more. Please post your favorite bands, possibly followed by one or two of their better songs?

Thanks.

My song of the week:

Theory of a Deadman - Santa Monica

"Growing up my dad was like 'You have a great last name, Galifianakis. Galifianakis...begins with a gal...and ends with a kiss...' I'm like that's great dad, can we get it changed to 'Galifianafuck' please?" -- Zach Galifianakis

Somewhere there's a someone
Gentle on my mind
Watching the world go by
Peddler's Serenade
Who's got the action?
...There's many more but those are just a few off the top of my head.

Sammy Davis Jr.

But not for me
Birth of the blues (Frank does a good version too)
Gypsy in my Soul
I got plenty of nothing

Again there are many more if you actually wanted to get into Sammy I suggest you buy the box set, Yes I Can!, The Sammy Davis JR story. It's an amazing box set, good buy.

The songs that pump me up the most: Achilles Last Stand [Led Zeppelin], Endless, Nameless [Nirvana], or Master of Puppets [Metallica].

Most relaxing song ever: Venus in Furs [Velvet Underground].

The Cure's "Lullaby" and "The Figurehead" also relax me a lot. Bringing me down to that "remote control three feet away is too far to get up" type of mood.

Try Radiohead. They might take a while to really get into, but once you do, it'll be some of the best music you'll ever hear.

I'll list some of my fave bands/fave songs when I have more time later on. But for now I wish to correct something.

In Don Pappo Napolitano's post he listed Def Leppard-Put some sugar on me. The correct title is Pour some sugar on me.

I don't like Gorillaz at all anymore, but do they have some fascination with Clint Eastwood?

I remember the song I used to like was called "Clint Eastwood," and now they have one called "Dirty Harry."

Anything for Frank Sinatra is good, too. You forgot New York, New York and Cheek to Cheek.

My favorite Bob Dylan song has to be either "Masters of War" or "All Along the Watchtower."

Another great band to listen to is Iggy Pop and the Stooges. They were a huge influence to punk rock.

A few songs
I Wanna Be Your Dog, Penetration, Search and Destroy, Gimme Danger, Raw Power, 1969

In Don Pappo Napolitano's post he listed Def Leppard-Put some sugar on me. The correct title is Pour some sugar on me.
Right, sorry for the mistake...
