Certainly I've listened to Stern time to time, mostly because the local radio stations pulled his syndicated radio show after a few folks just wanted to hear lousy redneck humor and repeated-weather forecast than hear fun, if juvenile, humor where in a good week you can have either strippers, porn stars, midgets, Elvis impersonators, movie stars, etc......I mean, what is the right choice?

Nice article about NBC's having to deal once Stern leaves in January...

i don't think anyone can replace howard. and it sucks because i was an avid listener, and they replaced him up here in canada with some other guy. so i haven't been able to listen to howard for about six year now i think. but i mean, for three years straight, ever morning i'd get up extra early to listen to him before i went to school.

i even have his movie, which occassionally i'll pop on to be reminded of how interesting he can be.

Ya, I actually was surprised in how PRIVATE PARTS(***/5) was actually good. I mean, I expected a self-vanity pathetic film, but instead the King of All Media does good, even with the future Oscar-esque performer in Paul Giammati. Funny enough, that movie never touched upon Stern's interesting/still-born campaign to run for Governor of New York for the Libertarian Party.

There will never be another "Howard Stern". Nobody will ever have the creative freedom that he did 10-15 years ago, that made his show so great. His show has sucked for the last 5+ years. Partly because of the FCC. Partly because he's getting old and just going through the motions. The best thing on radio right now is "Opie and Anthony" on XM Satellite Radio.

I've never heard his radio show. Is it anything like the show he does on TV where he has whores on and watches them undress?

That is his radio show. He films it for TV.

That'a a part of his show, to be sure. But believe it or not, there's a lot more to Howard than that. He has a really funny show, poking fun at just about anyone and everyone. My favorite segment, which is never on the tv show, is the news. This can last anywhere from 30 to 120 minutes, depending on what's going on and how much they get sidetracked.

I am the next Howard Stern. Look for the Pat Carr show in 2010.

Meh, never really got into Howard's show. It came on in the mornings, but I either switched to Sports Talk Radio or listened to his show to wait for Classic Rock to come on.

Hey, how's it going?
