"Under Pressure"

[Originally by David Bowie/Queen]

Pressure!

Pushing down on me
Pressing down on you no man ask for
Under pressure
That burns a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets

Bah bah dah bah bah dah
(Yeah) (Yeah)

That's okay!
It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends
Scream "Let me out!"
Pray tomorrow takes me higher
Pressure on people
People on streets

Bah bah dah bah bah dah
Okay!

Chippin' around
Kick my brains round the floor
These are the days
It never rains but it pours
Bah bah dah bah bah dah

People on streets
bah dah dee da day
People on streets
bah dah dee dah dee dah dee dah dee dah

It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends
Scream "Let me out!"
Pray tomorrow takes me higher (higher)

Yeah!

Turned away from it all
Like a blind man
Sat on a fence but it don't work
Keep coming up with love
But it's so slashed and torn

Why? Why? Why?
Love(love)! Love(love)! Love(love)!

Insanity laughs under pressure we're cracking
Can't we give ourselves one more chance?
Why can't we give love that one more chance?
Why can't we give love give love give love?
Give love give love give love give love give love?

Cause love's such an old fashioned word
And love dares you to care
For the people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our ways
Of caring about ourselves

This is our last dance
This is our last dance
This is ourselves under pressure

Under pressure
Under pressure
I'm digging this song right now. MCR and the Used remade it sooooooo good. Fuck, I love MCR.

I'm not really a fan of MCR nor The Used... But I did hear it, and it was OK.

My only problem is it sounds too similar to the original. When I hear covers of popular songs by other largely popular bands, I enjoy hearing them add their own artistic touches to it... It gives it a bit more character, I suppose.

Bowie's solo stuff is by far better, buy "the rise and fall of ziggy stardust and the spidars from mras" if you can, or download some stuff, i suggest 'man who sold the world', 'absoulute beginners' 'life on mars' etc to start off with.

So good... Their show with Alkaline Trio on Friday just blew me away.

See.. I dunno. I saw them live when they opened for Green Day in Pittsburgh.

It just seemed like they were trying REALLY REALLY hard to be cool.. and were failing miserably.

Anyone who thinks that using the work "fuck" repeatedly, makes you fit in.. is stupid. And that's what it seemed like they were trying to do.. be cool.

Plus the whole "I'm not okay.. I promise" shit is a little much for me.. Boohoo.

Annndddd, I saw Fall Out Boy yearssss ago (i know you didnt mention them in this thread, but i think you did in another if im not mistaken).. when they were touring with Less Than Jake. And even THEN I thought that they sucked. They sounded horrible live. I don't know.. maybe they've gotten better.. but I just haven't given them a second chance.

As long as you tell me right now that you love Weezer and My Chemical Romance, we can still be friends. :p

Now, Weezer, is more to my likes. I love them... They are one of my favorite bands, behind Radiohead.

But I must admit... I really did not like "Make Believe" at all. *Shudders*

Make Believe is so good dude... 'Hold Me' is my favorite song. I love Rivers Cuomo. FDR, Tupac, and Rivers. That's a day for me...

I'm really feeling these Used CDs right now though.

I don't know... I guess it does kind of take a few spins to get into it, but I feel casual Weezer fans will see it as a piece of crap, and most of the diehard fans will have a hard time getting into it; I know I have. It just doesn't hold up to their earlier work, like Pinkerton, I suppose. I also feel that maybe it had a hard time to follow up Maladroit, which I feel was one of the great rock albums of this decade, so far.

From best to worse, I feel their albums rank:

1.) Pinkerton
2.) Weezer (The Blue Album)
3.) Maladroit
4.) Weezer (The Green Album)
5.) Make Believe
