HOLY SHIT!!!

I just got back from the greatest show ever in the history of my life or any other life!!! HE WAS AMAZING! I've never in my wildest dreams imagined him being so good live! He sang 38 songs. It was so GREAT! He sounded and looked so young!

I was so close too which made it even better. I could see him plain and simple! HOLY DAMN! WOW!

Here's his setlist, check out all the great hits he played:

2 - Flaming Pie
3 - Jet
4 - I'll Get You
5 - Drive My Car
6 - Till There Was You
7 - Let Me Roll It (Foxy Lady jam)
8 - Got to Get You In My Life
9 - Fine Line
10 - Maybe I'm Amazed
11 - Long and Winding Road
12 - In Spite Of All The Danger
13 - I Will
14 - Jenny Wren

22 - Too Many People
23 - She Came In Through The Bathroom Window
24 - Good Day Sunshine

Sounds great Doc. Where was the concert?

It's incredible that his voice has held up so well after 40+ years of singing (and occasional screaming).

Sounds wonderful DF!! The song list includes many of my favorites. A Day In The Life is one of my favorites, (not to mention just about anything from the "White Album"),but seems it would be too difficult to sing live for some reason.

You know back around 65/66 or so I had a chance to see the Beatles in Detroit, but due to other commitments couldn't make it. I've always regreted it. However, IMHO they grew better in time, and I wish I would have been able to see them moreso in the later years.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Yeah, he sounds so amazing still. He looks even better than he has in recent years. He sounded so young and full of sound. As you can see, he performs a lot of songs that involved screaming, and he did them so well! Such as I've got a feeling, Flaming Pie, Helter Skelter, and so on. BUT HIS VOICE STILL SOUNDS SO GOOD!

The reason he won't do songs such as A Day in the Life is because they involved John heavily. He refuses to sing a song with heavy vocals by John, or so called "John Songs".

Though he did sing I've Got A Feeling, which has John in the background singing the "Everybody had a hard on, Everybody saw the sun shine...ect" part. They had the guitarist sing that and he sounded just like John. Also, he played PLease Please Me, a complete 100% John song, so he might be warming up to the idea.

Wow, what a show. Only bummer was everything was so expensive. I wanted a shirt or a program, but the shirts were $37 and the programs $30. So i said forget it and got a poster of him for the tour for $15. Not bad, but worth it.

Plus, after the show I went to a closeby gas station and we pulled up next to a limo in the back. It said "Paul McCartney" on the back window for the tour. I could not see inside, but I'm pretty sure it was him. I just said, Hey, nice show, Joe. Paul is God" and filled up my tank. I can always wonder if he heard me, or if it was him...

Here's a picture of him from the concert yesterday. Doesn't he look great?

I really wish I had gone to one of the nearby show's... But by the time I showed up, tickets had been sold out.

Sounds great, Ferro!

I saw him at the Palace of Auburn Hills near Detroit.

Tickets started selling 7 months ago and sold out in a few minutes. They had some more seats open up a few days before the show, but they were gone in a heartbeat too.

I'm still in awe. The man was incredible. He looked and sounded just like he did in his Beatle days.

Here's a little tip from someone that used to scalp tickets in his misspent youth. 95% of all concerts and about 75% of sporting events have the best seats go onsale a few hours before the show. These are the the tickets held for VIPs, promoters, the band, etc. You have to be patient, and sometimes you may have to wait in line. In the last 10 years, I've been to dozens of shows (almost all of them sold out), and only got shut-out 1 time for a concert.
