Hey, I don't know if anybody has heard of this, it's been in the news recently, but a new study has come out revealing that hormone levels spike when watching movies. Particularly, violent, "guy" movies, with lots of machismo and mushy girly ones have effects on testosterone levels in men for the former case and feminine hormones in both males and females for the later case.

Apparently “Bridges of Madison County” spiked male and female levels of “feminine” hormones up to 15%. While THE GODFATHER PART 2, topped the list for causing testosterone in men to spike up to 30% (makes you feel more like a man: P). Interestingly enough although girly movies have an effect on a man's and woman's level of feminine hormones in their system; manly movies don’t have the opposite effect on woman.

Has anybody heard anything about this?

Interesting, cool or is that just made up by some nut job looking to get attention.

Unless the nut-job was the editor and cheif of the magazine I was reading or the team of scientists that actually conducted the research.

If GFII raised testosterone levels by 30%, I have to assume that, after watching "Scarface," most men wouldn't be able to get up from their seats without embarrassing themselves.

Does testosterone has anything to do with confusion? Because the first time I watched GFII I was confused. lol

No, I was never that confused the way I was after the first time I watched GFII. Top complicated movie, maybe. Top testosterone riser, I really don't know if these two has anything to do with each other! Most good questions are about part two. I still see people coming to IMDB asking what exactly Fredo did to make Mike that mad. It happens here every month or so ...

I think it's such a testosterone topper because Michael gives the ultimate fuck you to everyone who fucks with him in the film and of course the combined feature of the film that FFC so expertly pulled off, which is allowing us to so seemlessly go along with Michael on this journey and really share an emotional connection with him.
