Since Partagas has been sidetracked lately, I thought I'd submit a Partagas-esque antecdote.

A long time ago, Britain and France were at war. During one battle the French captured an English major. Taking the major to their headquarters, the French general began to question him. The French general asked, "Why do all English officers wear redcoats? Don't you know the red material makes you easier targets for us to shoot at?"
In his bland English way, the major informed the general that the reason English officers wear redcoats is so that if they are shot, the blood won't show and the men they are leading won't panic.
And that is why from that day to now all French Army officers wear brown pants.

"I stood in the courtroom like a fool."

"I am Constanza: Lord of the idiots."

Did anyone see on the internet that they were selling a french world war 2 rifle. It says in the description, "Never been used."

I woke up this morning with nothing to do and went to bed with only half of it done.

Yes I like that one, love the friendly rivalry between us and the frogs :p

And we're not bland, btw!!!

...there's people who would pay a lot of money for that information. But then your daughter would lose a father..instead of gaining a husband.

We wore red coats to give you US rebels a fair crack at us in the revolutionary war --- which was a marginal victory, by the way. If that wimp Cornwallis hadn't given up the goat then us Brits would still own your American asses.

But, since he did, we don't. Bugger.
