I think you need to watch the trilogy a few more times.

Dont take it personal Lost Don. Freddie C. was jus sayin your info was a lil rusty. We'll try and help you out with this list tho. The two other families were Strachi and Cuneo. We never saw Clemenza when he was on his own with his own family, so we never actually saw him as a Don. Don Luchesi was the man you were referring to in part III.Thats all I can remember from your list right now. Hope it helps.

some comments on your list..

#7. Don Fanucci -- He was a don.

#8. Don Tommasino.

#9. Don Francesco Ciccio -- He killed Vito's father, mother, and brother.

#12. Don Domenico Clemenza was the actual Don in Clemenza's family, not Peter. It was mentioned in The Sicilian book by Mario Puzo.

Also --

Don Roberto -- owner of the 'ratholes' in NYC during the time of Vito's growing up.

There were some other leaders like Tatagglia, Sollozzo, and Moe Greene who were introduced but never addressed as a Don. Sollozzo and Greene didn't seem to have their own families but Philip Tattaglia could probably be a Don, considering he at least had a son in the business.

Barzini and Cuneo were definitely Dons... and there was also a "Don Francesco of L.A." who was going to protect protect Fredo during his trip to Vegas.

In the third film, during the meeting, one of the men at the meeting is recognized as Don Perisi. Don Altobello is the one who wants to settle everything with reasoning.

That's all I could come up with for now.

I'm pretty sure that Joey Zasa was never addressed or referred to as "Don" in the movie.

There was also Don Volpe and Don Leo Cuneo who were at the meeting in GFIII. I think Volpe was the guy with the "lucky coat" that turned out to be a not-so-lucky coat.

Also the novel has Joseph Zaluchi (Detroit), Frank Falcone and Anthony Molinari (California), Domenick Panza (Boston), and Vincent Forlenza (Cleveland)

[Linked Image] The Lost Don doesn't think I'm normal.

Calm down man. Busta was exactly right in interpreting my post. Most people here know the movies inside and out. Some of the discussions are pretty deep. It might help to brush up on your information.

By the way, I can't even remember the last time I sat down and watched an entire Godfather movie. I'll watch a scene ot two at a time. [Linked Image]

Don Roberto was not a Don. He refered to Vito as Don so Vito refered to him as Don also. Vito was just being modest.
Zasa cannot possibly be a Don. He had to go to Mike for an answer to his troubles.

It is interesting though, that Fanucci seems to be in a position of power similar to that of Joey Zasa, yet is referred to as Don Fanucci.

That's because Fanucci claimed to have the backing of Maranzalla, so nobody wanted to screw with him for fear of having someone bigger and badder come after them. That and he made himself look like a legitimate Don because of his fierceness.
