Just wonderful.

Dave Chappelle's "hiatus" at Comedy Central is likely to be open-ended. Charlie Murphy, a writer and sometimes performer on Chappelle's Show told the New York Post, "I don't think Dave is going to do anymore. ... We shot about eight shows for the third season, and they're hilarious. They'll be released on DVD, I'm sure. But that's it." Murphy said that he could only speculate about why Chappelle would walk away from a $50-million deal. "He probably wants to put a big show together, then put it on the road," he said.

Maybe he'll go to HBO or something but this is just terrible!

And as far as Comedy Central goes. Mind of Mencia, which is hilarious.

I'll second that. It's a shame Dave had his problems which sacrificed this great show, but hey, there's still the equal-oppurtunity offender, Carlos Mencia.

Hey, how's it going?

It seems as if Mencia's taking advantage of Dave's absence-as well he should be. It sucks, though, I SO MISS The Chappelle Show! Now all I can do is watch Jon Stewart. He eases my pain.

I like Mencia's attitude better, but Chappelle's skits are more funny.

"I put an application for a higher position but I was turned down. You know why I can't get a good job? Racism!"

Mencia: No, the reason you can't get a "higher position" is because there's no "Y" in the word job.

Mencia's best segment so far is "The Ghost of Johnny Cochran." As for Chappelle, my personal favorite is "The Jedi Sex Scandal." :p

Yeah, Mencia's out there man. He's always saying something that has you on the edge and you kinda have to wince before you burst out laughing in pain. Chappelle definitely reminds me of a young, modern, Pryor. Just a huge difference in delivery and comedy sketches. I think Eddie Murphy's brother should be doing some more stuff, I think he's so hilarious.

Thats some sad news. But I hope he'll come back bigger and even better He is the funniest guy Ive seen. I have both seasons on my PC and just love them, his stand up comedy "Killin Em Softly" is hilarious!

Ah well...we'll see what happens...

Chappelle is the premier comic of the era, at this point, as far as sketch comedy is concerned. He's really established himself as both a marketable name and can drawn big crowds if he wanted to.

I hope that they release his stuff to DVD, I'd get it, no doubt about it. He's funny as hell. Mencia is good, but his show just doesn't appeal to me as much as Chappelle. He's good, but it's rougher, not as polished as Chappelles.

That's why I said I liked his attitude more. Mencia is more rough when it comes to his comedy, and many times he's right too. Did anyone see last night's episode when he went to the streets with a bullhorn?

Damn, I have to watch it again. So many great lines
"When the police turned us over....we turned the radio down...I mean, nobody wants his ass beaten to a soundtrack and shit..." and the part "Terrorist don't take black hostages..." was hilarious too. Chappelle rules!

I think that was on his HBO stand-up special, which is hilarious. I like his stand up, in that it isn't your average black comedian who will just make nonstop black-jokes that are not funny. He does it very tastefully, and with much more substance than 95% of the black-racial-focusing comedians.

I mean, come on, the phrase "Spread your legs, cracka' hatin' n*****" was only funny the first 9000 times DL Hugley decides to use it.

Mmm, I think Comedy Central actually just showed it the other night. Heck, Comedy Central is doing a great job of milking Dave's absense...

"Killin Them Softly" is ALWAYS on Comedy Central. Just about two weeks ago it was on Secret stash uncensored. I like Chappelle's standup, but it's inferior to his skits IMO.

Pryor's wife said that Pryor himself "passes the torch" to Chappelle, which is very interesting.

Hey, here is a bright side to Chappelle's cancelation: No more wiggers running up to you--who, for the record, are NOT funny--yelling, "I'm Rick James, bitch!" in your face. I hate that. Last year, it seems like that's all the moronic jocks at my school would do.

I believe Maddox wrote an agreeable piece on this issue quite a while ago.

"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

I love that article LLC.
The results were surprising: the graph above suggests that 6,367,619,884 out of every 6,367,619,885 people in the world are not Dave Chappelle, and therefore should shut the hell up. This finding was in contrast to what I thought initially; that these fans were in fact qualified to use Dave's catch phrase, otherwise why would they parrot on endlessly like idiots desperate to make their peers laugh at the expense of permanently ruining an otherwise funny joke?

Maddox is great.

All in favour of Maddox becoming president, say I.

I.
