Dunno, what does the word you're looking for mean?

everywere I've seen it was spelled minchia. The reason i believe it sounds like a g is because of the accent, not because of the word.

Correct. The g-effect is a dialect think. The correct spelling is minchia, though. Now, Dar, what kind of Italian are you practising on????

it's a vulgar Sicilian dialectal word meaning "penis".

I would not define myself an expert on either vulgar Sicilian dialects or the penis...but I can recognize both, if necessary!
